@georgerbuchanan are you saying that IT and medicine can't be learned outside of a college or university? Strange, many western militaries have successfully trained paramedics and nurses for decades without the use of colleges or universities, same for engineers, machanics, IT specialists and many more! How do you think people learned a trade before colleges and universities were made available to all? Fact is, most of the courses at college and university are pointless and don't lead to employment in the chosen field, the original purpose of a university was to teach the most gifted, now anyone can go and the standards have dropped so now there are hundreds of graduates for every position leaving most to find jobs outside their chosen field. best to train kids to fill positions available in the numbers available and keep university for the most gifted in science and math.

I gave you an example of a use for a phrase in order to educate you on the English language, it's sad you don't understand that. @georgerbuchanan the point I made is that university is not needed, all can be learned elsewhere, all classes can be done online and the practical can be done within the industry. No need for students to be exposed to the political opinion of teachers as they are today! The other choice is to implement strict rules in colleges and schools and actually enforce them, teach the subject only, personal politics and beliefs to be left at home! Personally, when I learn a subject I only want to earn that subject, I have no interest in what the teacher thinks about race, sexual or gender equality and rights or politics! Most subjects are better taught on the job,.

@georgerbuchanan many newly trained doctors and nurses take up positions overseas or in the private sector rather than the NHS, the other careers you mentioned are not desperate for employees as you think! The British military used to train their own, if it is as you say now then that is the result of budget cuts and civilian interference, I too served. How many historians do we need? How many are studying now? I said nothing about government control and I'd never support or promote a socialist one. What I did say is that universities are not being used as they were meant, it's all about money now, it was about learning originally. Most of the courses are pointless, they should focus on specialized course like the sciences for example. The evidence you asked for is readily available on government websites. I'd put up link but my phone has a cracked screen and I can't do it right now!

@georgerbuchanan Oxford. Section 149 itself, underrepresented groups is in itself proof of discrimination and prioritizing of colour or religion over academic ability. I worked at a college, all the English kids had to have specific grades to get a place, same for the Oriental kids,but the Asian and especially the black kids didn't require anywhere near as much and got paid £30 a week to attend but the English and oriental kids didn't. Colleges get paid for bums on seats, thats why you have more kids studying art, drama, dance and fashion than any other subjects. May I suggest you get your news from somewhere other the channel 4 or the BBC?

@georgerbuchanan you are either missing my point or ignoring it! Any help offered needs to be offered to any kid who needs it! As it is now, and I'll repeat my point for you, only kids of colour especially black kids are getting the help as well as a percentage of LGBTQ kids. All others are being ignored. However, I believe that if a kid cannot gain the GCSE grades needed to enter college because they didn't put in the work then maybe college isn't the best option for them, I suggest vocational training instead. Some kids are bad at academics but good at practical learning, i.e. learning by doing rather than reading. The kids getting the worst grades at GCSE level are poor white working class boys especially those in North England, colleges, universities and politicians are ignoring them. Treat everybody the same!

@SusanneBirkvad you've got my support! A nations history is its identity, it is crucial and must never be forgotten or revised. British history has many connections to all European countries, we do have a shared history, we have caught each other and helped each for centuries, kinda like family! We will continue to help each other in the future as friends, well that is unless Mr macron deckares war on us Brits, I know he really wants to, the guys nuts! 😂

An example, at a wedding the best man states at the end of his speech " I can speak for everybody here in wishing you both many years of happiness together!" .

I recall saying my family was navy, that's my father, 3 uncles, 2 brothers, sister, daughters, both grandfather's, 2 great uncles, great grandfather, great uncle and 3 cousins plus generations of family members going back to the seventeenth century, I also have relatives and ancestors who served in the army going back to around the same time. Is that clear for you? If you need help with any of that you can ask a grown up, okay kid?
