I too served and you of all people should know that you don’t fight for country you fight for the lads next to you and family. Don’t confuse country with government either it’s effing annoying. If Russia becomes an immediate and direct threat I expect to see you on the line, if not, the Russians will be the least of your concerns. CLEAR?

First off, people need to stop confusing country and government . Second, think of the benefits of conscription or national service, Decreased crime in the cities. Most immigrants will leave. All illegal immigrants will go back to France . People will learn some basic life skills schools don’t teach anymore. Plus the likelihood of a ground war with Russia is remote, most Russians will be against it and even if there were it wouldn’t last long based on what we’ve seen in Ukraine. We have more advanced weapon systems than Ukraine.

Immigrants won’t stay here if they could be called upon to serve, that’s a fact, it has nothing to do with skin colour either, a Frenchman won’t want to serve in the British army any more than an Englishman would want to serve in the french army. Had you served you’d know exactly what sort of life skilled the military teaches you.
