  5. After the Finnish and Swedish NATO membership I wouldnt be suprised on anything. I dont have objections of having these countries in NATO, but there was no national debate about it, there was no referendum about it, they rushed it that it was done in 2 weeks, while countries like Macedonia had to wait for decades. It was a huge sham, I think there are actual Swedes and Finns who found this whole process insulting, that they have no word in it whatsoever.

  13. I find the Nagorno Karabah conflicts framing a little bit onesided. 800.000 Azeris were chased away by Armenians in 1991, entire cities were razed to the ground by them. Alyev has no hard time to fuel anti Armenian sentiments amongst these people. There are no good people on that conflict both sides just want to get rid of eachother.

Putin sent in his troops to secure those regions once and for all, and Zelensky prepared for that move too, thatswhy his whole army camped there. Besides Ukraine is not a small state, and not a single nation state, even if it would like to be one, and the disrespect of its minorities comes with a pricetag to pay.

  21. Russia cant get into a security agreement with the USA. Even if Biden would promise them something, that would be up on the table to be dishonoured by him, or his successors. Russia can in fact only negotiate with Ukraine, because they have the force to overpower them. And Urkaine cant join the EU. It is a least well known fact, but the EU has a similar mutual defense pact that NATO has, so the same problem stands that Europeans would have to send their armies to Ukraine.
