They underestimated the importance of dumb munitions, and overestimated the importance of highly sophisticated weapons.The best case study is the excalibur shells, which completely ran out since, they thought its so overwhelmingly better than the standard 155 mm ammunition that it will balance out a 10x1 artillery disparity. But reality turned out, that drone coordinated artillery strikes with dumb munitions are precise enough 1 times out of three shots, and thats a great problem. Fortunately for NATO, these things turned out not in an allout war against Russia, but a proxy war, so theres time to change procedures, and recalibrate weapons production aims.

They literally send out Military police with vans and a number of people they have to kidnap immediately, or else they will themselves pushed to the frontlines. They don't even check documents, or make any medical examination, just if they see someone, they catch him and push him to the van. Youtube is full of videos, where they are beating up regular people off the streets, grab people down from buses and pushing them into military vans, searching through houses for anyone they can catch. They are really scratching the bottom of the barrel. Their latest idea was that they will ask European countries to deport all Ukrainian refugees back, so they can fight.

  156. Victory in Ukrainian conditions does not mean actual military victory against Russia. They want to create a climate in Russia, where some political group overthrow Putin. And that almost worked out for them during the wagner mutiny. To some extent they actually achieved a minor victory. They sidelined Surovikin, who proved himself the most competent commander of the Russian forces, who saved the Russians from a disaster, planned the Bakhmut trap, and got them the defensive positions. I wonder how they will fare with Gerasimov and Shoigu. I know generals like to brag about their importance, but it is actually somewhat true that a Guderian or a Patton or Zhukov worth an entire bataillon by themselves.

Ukrianians dont have to win strategic battles, its fair enough if they convince the Russian population that they are winning strategic battles. They can do an amphibious operation in Crimea, no matter how much land it would take back, or how costly it is in terms of resources or manpower, it can convince the russian populace to better give up. Well, unfortunately all of these were destroyed or damaged by AT mines, from what no active passive a successive protection protects a tank, since it just melts down the caterpillar, and renders the tank unmovable. Their model simply does not work, Ukes simply ask these people to forget their identity, and be Ukrainian.
