  2. Well, its not entirely impossible to store hydrogen in big tanks, but it would be a real pain in the a. To store enough for a longrange flight it would need to be cryogenic, which means it has to be fuelled right before takeoff, and the gaseous phase should be blown down otherwise the tanks would explode. Regular steel becomes brittle if it comes into contact with hydrogen, because it diffunds into the crystal lattice and damages it, so platinum or palladium containers should be made, which are expensive and heavy.

  4. Lol a hydrogen powered hypersonic glider with some scramjet engines would kick some as... London to Los Angeles 1 hour, thermospheric bouncing. Most likely would end up as the Concorde though, the coolest passenger plane ever built, which noone use and Americans are sabotaging it out of pure greed.

  5. Well, the sole reason why you should put the center of gravity on the wings, is because under normal cases wings generate the lift. If you put a lift generating body, lets say a canard, if you dont like big fcking engines before the wings, well that makes your plane unstable, although unstable by intention. Because its not the wings which the center of mass should be ahead of, but rather the center of lift.

  6. Yeah, a plane made for champagne slopping rich dudes wouldnt have thatmuch future in the epicenter of socialism I guess. BTW I know Im a sicko, but I actually think that a thundering engine noise sounds awesome if you fly a supersonic airliner. It turned out to be actually a more success story than the Concorde if we factor in the knowledge the Russkies gained from it to make the Tu-160 swan supersonic bomber.

  9. Well if they want to increase safety they shouldnt cramp up the seats. I hate flying primarily because my legs dont fit in, which is a minor inconvenience, if everything goes OK, on the other hand if theres an accident its 100% a broken leg at least. Oh and first class really went out from business in most of the routes I take, so theres literally these business class nightmares everywhere. 1.98 high 98 kilo without any intent to cut down my feets.

  10. Jetfuel is the shttiest fuel on the market. It is used on jets, because a gasturbine can literally burn anything. ICE engines are more picky.
