  3. Mearsheimer is a cold war theoretician, when there was a bipolar world order, so neither the Soviets nor the Americans could force their worldview to everyone, which has changed in the last 30 years, but his insights will be valid if we go back into a multipolar world order.

  8. I dont think retributions on civilians or systematic warcrimes actually hastened the progress of the Soviet army, or helped them tactically, and Zhukov was clever enough to know this, although he most likely didnt made thatmuch of a hussle of what his soldiers are doing in their freetime.

  10. Generals in embassies is a pretty common phenomenon, they are called military attaches, Im quite sure every single american embassy has at least one. As well as there are intelligence officers in foreign embassies, although the latter is somewhat illegal, but still overlooked most of the time. Im quite sure that the American embassy in Kyiv is quite hot recently, but it would be considered problematic to demolish it.
