As for Beevor I would highly advice that instead of dealing with other nations dirty laundry he should write a definitive compendium on the crimes of Britsh colonialism, then maybe British public wouldnt live in such delusions that they were liked in their former Empire, or they have any chance to restore the commonwealth, and let German historians sort out German history.
