I have been through conscription as well, and majority of the time we were just rotting in our barracs or doing some sentry tasks. Sure basic training is tough, but it ends relatively fast then the boredom comes. Conscripts arent held to the standards of the professional military anyway. BTW I was there too, they needed someone who could code in basics, I applied so I sticked for a while, it was entirely different serving there. But theres a misunderstanding in people about these structures, although I worked in military RnD, it was a basic requirement, that I could handle the duty of a basic grunt anytime, theres no such thing as "truckdriver" in military, the onlyones who arent required to be able to fight are medics and priests.

You mean the second Ukrainian army, ordered by Nikita Khruschev, former head of the Ukrainian state, and a Dontesk born miner? Some people tend to forget that Ukraine was actually part of that Soviet Union, which delegated half of its leadership. And not the better half. Kruschev, Andropov, Trotsky and Brezhnev were Ukrainian, Lenin, Chernenko and Gorbachev were Russian, and Stalin was Georgian, thats a slight advantage to the Uke side.

So lets start to call things what they are:
1. The British have a vested interest in this war, because it pushes Europe down, and make their Brexit viable.
2. The US have a vested interest in this war, because it keeps Britain and the EU in the same basket, and push their influence through NATO
3. The Russians have a vested interest in this war, because if they dont do it now then they will face a Maidan type coup in the near future
4. The Chinese have a vested interest in this war, because it opens them a direct land route to Europe and Africa, and their manufacturing base gets the raw materials it needs, so they cant be contained by the US Navy.
5. Ukraine have a vested interest in this war, because theres a lot of money to grab for the elites from the aid.
6. Poland and the Baltics have a vested interest in this war, because they want to see Russia going down in flames for historical reasons.
7. The Czechs have a vested interest in this war, because they are the main weapons manufacturers in Europe, who sometimes find 1 million artillery shells around which is for sale.
8. The French have a vested interest in this war, because Russian PMCs stealing their colonies.
9. Germany have no vested interest in this war, but their politics and media is deeply infiltrated by the intelligence agents of those who do.

Actually it can help the climate, although its a rather indirect argument, that whoever han an EV wont use public transport, so his overall emissions will be actually higher. In my case I generally use a train to commute, and have an ICE car which I use maybe twice a week, if I would own an EV there wouldnt be a point to use the train, I would use the EV, because if I payed for it, then the electricity of what it use makes it cheaper than the public transport, and it will expire in 10 years, so theres no point not using it as much as you can.

Yep they should definitely put some radar guidance on those machine guns, maybe an IR tracker. I think we have some leftover really old AA systems which actually could be converted cheaply to help these guys, although the problem is how to shelter them, because a bigger antenna could actually fry them. Unfortunately I dont think we have off the shelf solutions for such shtty drones, so it requires some tinkering around. As it comes into my mind some of the old warsaw pact states maybe have their old MiG-21s around for salvage, those had a rudimentary targeting computer and a powerful tracking radar and machine gun config which would be a great improvement even if mounted into a ground platform. Maybe there are some lying around in Ukraine somewhere, it would be awesome, if Ukrainians could make a proof of concept, then I guess we could get them hundreds of those parts, if not thousands or if we get a detailed plan we can assemble the system and ship it down, unfortunately not a lot of people can handle old soviet tech anymore in NATO.

@cristiangaban960 What is this us Europeans? Speak in your own name. NOONE told you or your country not to go to Ukraine and fight the war, that was your, and your country's deliberate choice, which we accepted. Noone told your country not to impose sanctions on russia unilaterally. If you want the EU to do so, then you have to make a consensus between "us, Europeans". Yeah, I did not forgot that the SOVIETS, by the way mostly the THE UKRAINIANS ran tanks into the protestors 70 years ago, when "us Europeans" did nothing, so we adapted to the situation, and accepted geopolitical realities BTW the same geopolitical realities where "us, Europeans" stole 60% of Hungary, and still let the surrounding slavs run a discriminatory system against ethnic Hungarians LED by the Ukrainians, a country with the size of Poland and Germany combined, and more supressed ethnics than Europe combined, who constantly crying about imperialism for a country of the size of their capital. Currently we are with the west, but that doesnt apply any obligations towards Ukraine, and if you Europeans decide to get rid of Hungary, then of course Hungary will find a path where its territorial demands will be fullfilled, maybe with the help of the Russians. EU is an European peace framework first and foremost if "us Europeans" start to play with it, then there will be war.

They do. They even had two referendum about it one upheld by Ukraine itself. Donbas agreed to join Ukraine on the condition that they get autonomy, and Russian can be the official language, what ukes broke. Besides Russians actually care about Crimea and the Donbas, while Ukes just want to rob them. Crimea was the least developed region in Ukraine before BP found gas there, and guys in Kiev started to rub their fingers what beautiful palaces will they build out of the money siphoned out of Crimea. While uke troops are laughing in Dobas, that they will leave behind a pile of rubble to their so called fellow countrymen, half of the Russian army are combat engineers, whose main task is to restore heat electricity, and shelters for the liberated people. Russians conquered the landbridge, because Kiev closed down the water canal prior, so that Crimeans would die out of thirst. I guess I dont have to mention that you dont do this to people who you care about. @Amradar123

So to quote classics:
9th March, the Cannibal has quitted his den
10th, the Corsican Ogre has landed at Cape Juan
11th, the Tiger has arrived at Gap
12th, the Monster slept at Grenoble
13th, the Tyrant has passed through Lyons
14th, the Usurper is directing his steps towards Dijon, but the brave and loyal Burgundians have risen en masse and surrounded him on all sides
18th, Bonaparte is only sixty leagues from the capital; he has been fortunate enough to escape the hands of his pursuers
19th, Bonaparte is advancing with rapid steps, but he will never enter Paris
20th, Napoleon will, tomorrow, be under our ramparts
21st, the Emperor is at Fontainebleau
22nd, His Imperial and Royal Majesty, yesterday evening, arrived at the Tuileries, amidst the joyful acclamations of his devoted and faithful subjects.

So what, Saudis chopped down the head of Khasoggi, and you still buy oil from them. This oh putin is a warcriminal so we shouldnt buy gas from him is not even naive but outright a liar attitude we all know, that you are false moralizing. Quod est necessarium est licitum. If it gives us the edge why we wouldnt buy gas from them? Even if Europe would be in a war with Russia and would gain more on buying Russian gas than Russians would gain on selling it logic dictates that europe should buy Russian gas, because it gives more power to Europe than it gives to Russia. Americans knew it, they bought all of their titanium from the Soviet Union to build military jets against them, noone criticized that move, because it was extremely logical. You like to show yourself as pragamtic centrists, meanwhile you behave as ideologic leftists. BTW if you want to go into this whole gas thing then shall I ask how it is possible legally, that countries in the European common market are asking transit fees from eachother, well above the costs of gas transport. Its not only that that American LNG is more expensive, because it fluctuates, what is not fluctuating is the profiteering of the Poles and Croats on their gas transport from their harbors to the heartland of Europe. I think its a hidden tarriff which should actually be illegal inside the EC. To think about it maybe we should bring Croatia and Poland to the Grand Jury of the european Union for contract breaching, I mail the case to them.

Can you show me that on which part of the EU agreements Slovakia or Hungary signed anything regarding the Russian federation or gay marriage, because if you can point us to it, you can show where the membership agreement was breached. But I have even a better idea, if you are so fond of the Lisbon treaty, I can point out which points Latvians and Estonians are breachin everyday by how they handle their minorities, while your beloved EU does nothing about it. Do you think that by raising the rainbow flag you solved everything? The world around us is a little bit more complex than that. Regaring to the news questions when Sholtz have to answer the same question regarding to sending the Taurus to Ukraine, every single day, it becomes tedious and counterproductive. Germany had the discussion, the polls showed that its not supported, the democratically elected chancellor made the decision, so I really dont know why DW thinks they can turn it around by aggressively pushing their agenda, because they think it otherwise. @Joey-ct8bm

I really cant get a spot on how your censorship works DW. You usually let people cheering over killing, or being wildly racist, while keep deleting pretty civilized comments, regarding to some industrial sabotage which we all know who done. No, it wasnt Zelensky and the Seven Samurai, we dont buy into it, they had better things to do than diving in the Baltics, where there is a battleship in every square miles watching what your divers are doing. It was those guys who talked about the hunk of metal in the bottom of the sea. So my advice is either let free speech to blossom in your platforms which I would absolutely support, or censor out everyone who objectively breaking platform rules, but do not become an Russian/American/Hasbara safespace, because that would look like you are siding with pretty bad people.

Some people dont understand what is this ovewhelming western support for Ukraine. It isnt about geopolitics, or values at all. Westerners generally sit in their gray little lives, where in every single day a coporate overlord steals one of their rights, have their austerities in every 5 years, they are declining, they dont have children or future, rents are going up, workplaces move out of China, they cant even win wars against Afghanistan, and play games if their shtty poltitcians or a lettuce would survive longer. And suddenly they see a country, where people willingfully die to be like westerners, and that adds back something to their egos, the belief, that they live in an utopia. They know, they dont, but at least they think they seen from the outside as these superior kind of men living in a superior system. Thats the reason.

Lol Leo2A4-s are so crappy, the Germans firesaled them in the 90's. They got a T90 from the Chechen insurgents, its standard armor piercing round penetrated the Leo frontal quadrant from 1500 m right away. You know the place, where it is supposedly the strongest. T90 is lighter, faster, much better protected, accelerates better and overall not even in the same league. Every military's best interest is just to get rid of those obsolete junks, and focus on real state of the art tanks. The only tank what Ukraine receives, and has some tactical value are actually the 10 or so Challenger, the 10 Leo A6, and the T72.

Lol, none of you actually mentions any cathegorical rule which Hungary does not obey. I can tell you exactly which rules Spain, the Baltics, Germany, Denmark, the Netherland France or Greece does not obey. Remember, when the prime minister of Catalonia was arrested in Brussels for separatism? Remember when the Estonian prime minister declared ithat they will sleep better, when their russian minority is terminated? Remember, when Germans payed extra money for their firms to be more competitive against trading block partners? Remember that Denmark does not oblige the general fishing route subsidies of the EU and gives a damn about it? Remember that the Netherlands exports twice as much milk products, that their quota in the EU would let them to? Remember, that there are literally no ethnic minorities allowed to express themselves in France or Greece? Every single country is breaking EU rules, every one of them.

We are chill near our ownb border, and dont care about the Baltics. That was another George Bush idea to invite them into NATO, not ours. They are on a basic level undefendable, from soutwest lies Russia East lies Belarus North lies Russia, and west lies the Baltic sea. They have a 50 miles wide opening towards Poland, which will be cut in the first hour of the war, the the entire Baltics will be a giant cauldron for any troops sent there. Sending there a tripwire force, which can be evacuated makes sense, and later counterattack operation from Poland, but they want the entire european army there. Meanwhile none of the European wars break out next to them, and the nextone will be most likely in the Balkans so its an entire waste of resources. Cheers buddy.

Yeah, I actually checked, the Finnish military is the 56th strongest military in the world, just to put it into perspective, the Czech military is the 32th, Sweden is 26th, they are actually in the same league as the military of Croatia. So no, they are a very low end military even inside European NATO, and they would require a ton of foreign troops in order to being defendable. And meanwhile theres no difference between the strategic axes of defending Germany or defending Poland or Ukraine, Finnalnd is on an entirely different axis. Which means troops have to be split in order to defend central and northern Europe as well, instead of focusing them on a single vector. Thats the reason why Americans always wanted the Swedes in, the Finns not that much, they were good as a netural bufferstate between NATO and the Russians.

Actually if you want to know whats wrong with the establishment, look no further than Biden. He is, by his own standards a very mediocre guy, who failed multiple times in his education, supported every single bad decision which the US took place for half a decade and the sole reason of him being there where he is, is that he is in the senate since 1970, and the shadow government thinks they know him. Meritocracy? 0. Corruption? 100%, Ok he is not that bad as Bush were, who was where he was because his daddy was a president, and his brother helped him to rig the Florida elections, as they formed this strange royal dynasty. You have these faces, so that the gals like Victoria Nuland, who is very democratically in the government since Bill Clinton ordered the bombing of Kosovo, through Obama and now Biden all the way down, while she received exactly 0 votes in a 30 years long career, can pull the strings from the shadows.
2
-
Lol no dear, Orban can do what he does, exactly because there are no such rules what you are refering to. You want to make those rules up on the way, like majority voting in NATO and EU instead of unanimous vote, calling Ukraine an ally of NATO without holding a mandate about it, accepting countries like Finalnd and sweden based on phone conducted small representativity polls instead of proper referendums, but lets be clear, it is EU and NATO bureucrats who are against the existing rules, not Hungary, and I dont see what is in for us to let you push through your changes, which we never agreed to.

Yeah sure, you will get rid of a 2000 years old organization, the catholic church which is specialized on to pushback on any liberal or progressive ideology by electing a liberal president. Liberal means, that he wont want to step on their feet inthe firstcase, and it would take you 100 years to change poland into a normal country. And dont spin your Russia hatred as a modern liberal tendency, it is just plain old racism, which is rooted deeply in Polish culture. Some of our neighbors talking about historical grudges against them, but I would tell you the average Hungarian doesnt hate any nation beyond a certain rational and very low level, but what you feel towards the russians is straight out pathological. And it will be unsustainable on the EU level longterm, simply because the EU's promise is to bring peace and prosperity, meanwhile currently it is driving poverty and war. So either they change their ways, or there wont be an EU in the longterm, so either way your views wont succeed. The british are playing on you like a fine tuned instrument, using the Poles as a battering ram, but not against the Russians, thatswhere you are mistaken, but against the EU, because thatshow they want to make their Brexit a success story, when thats done, they wont care. If you continue like this at the end you will be left totally alone and isolated with a very powerful enemy at your neighborhood.

Thats because they dont let their Bezos to rob them blind. Literally guys you have to wake up. You arent poor because of free healthcare in Canada, but because your ultra rich are the last to pay their fair share, while the first to eat up government money for their insane projects. You could have free healthcare if you would force them to pay, instead of letting them to rob you. There are medicines which on market value, no free healthcare at all cost 10 dollars in Canada and 300 dollars in the US, because big pharma is sucking you dry. What would they do, move their production to a tropical taxhaven, where 500 people live and sell Teslas to 50 of them? Let them go, they are nothing without you. Israelis pay 100 million per year into AIPAC, and by buying up your senators they get back 10 billion in foreign aid, thats a literal moneypump, which serves noone except the bought politicians, who are giving your money to the Israelis legalized getting a few percent cut in return. If in any other civilized country a politician would even come close to having any ties to the business cycles as your lobbysts do, they would have to resign because people would be raging on the streets shouting corruption.

No, my Ukrainian friends, you get it absolutely wrong. Western weaponry is not wonder weaponry, its 10-20% better than the comparable Russian weaponry. The way why NATO wins with it is not because its that much better, but because NATO knows exactly what and when to use for maximal effect. So unless you present a winning tactics to NATO command quite down to every single command post neutralized and describe how you intend to use these weapons, and how you intend to purge the Russians. For example using long range weaponry against Russian targets is a bad idea. Not because you dont have the moral right to bomb Moscow, but simply because thats just a waste of ammo. You didnt give up, when they bombed Kiev, and they wont give up if you bomb Moscow, and they are a fing huge country, where you could reach result with tens of thousands of long range weaponry, which noone in this world have.

Well, military takes money, dont bring in money. So in this economic situation the wise decision is to deinvest from military spending while the growth would let a more generous fiscal policy. The EV sector will cave in, thats just a matter of time, the sole reason why some car manufacturers bother with it, because thatshow the market frauds like Musk got their investment, which is needed for ICE production as well. But the biggest car manufacturer Toyota doesnt even bother to have an EV model, because they know full well, its a dead end. The future lies with hybrids, and Musk or the Chinese will never produce a functional one, thatswhere the 100 years of experience in car manufacturing kicks in.

@Iva K We give way more support to Ukraine than what we got during the 56 revolution, but thats okay. External policy is not the function of your hatred. We all know that the chance that you can actually break up the Russian federation is very slim at best, we all know, that at some point the Americans or the Germans and the French will sit down with Putin and make peace in Ukraine, and we won't be in the way, as the Poles and the Baltics will. They will lose influence at that moment, because they behaved childishly. If the Russians even interested in a German or French peace proposal, because they already went too far in this, and for the Americans they aren't interested in European economic power, from which a new Ukraine can be built, which again wont be financed by the US. About the protection yes, we are protected on paper, in reality we rarely seen a single NATO soldier in our soil, which is again OK in peacetime, not so much during a conflict, so there is absolutely no guarantee for us, or for that no Eastern European nations except Poland and Romania.

Yeah, he adressed the problem, of why Ukraine is called Ukraine. Which comes from Krajina in slavic means borderlands.Thats true, and if we think about it, that has actual implications, if we can talk about the pre 19th century Ukrainian nation, because well, not a single nation which was ever independent calls itself as a borderland of two empire. Its like if the irish would call themselves englishhh, and expect that the world would think them as a separate nation. There are two kind of Urkainians existing, the Russified Poles, and the Polonezed Russians. No wonder that the war of Ukraine is a little war between Poland and Russia. Even today its not a single nation, its at least two nation in one, the western one with Lemberg, which is in rule since the ousting of Yanukovich, and the Eastern one, which voted Yanukovich into power, and is 80% occupied now with Russian forces, in every single demographic census, or voters preference everyone can catch it. So Ukrainians actually have no historical rights to their lands, because those lands were the Russian Empire and the Polish Lithuanian commonwealth before their ethnogenesis. Lets say that they have rights to some of their lands based on self determination, but then on what regard they question the right of self determination of Crimean Russians? That they got some lands in 1991 doesnt mean, that they are entirely entitled to those for ethernity. @MrSuperJ

I know that you Germans have a fundamental problem of understanding democracy, but when Trump talking about ditching Europe, he doesnt talk his ideas, but the cries of his voterbase. I know that you in DW, and now I would cite the oppinion of your international editor in chief about her comment on Scholtzie, like to think that a strong leader, lets say a "fuhrer" would you mind, can tell the people what to do against the will of the majority, but it doesnt work like that in America, so much so, that if Trump wins the majority, then even the democrats will switch sides, because you know they represent the people. They did it with the Afghans, and they will do it with you, without remorse, remember Obama marched in and out of Iraq based on oppinion polls, and the collapse of the local regime. You cant do too much about it, its their decision, so better embrace for it. One additon, theres one thing which America never associates with, and that is failure. So you my dear germans better make sure that Ukraine wins, because if it loses, then they will push everything into your neck just to come out clean.

If Europe would ask you would you jump on your head around Tbilisi? They arent saints, or allknowing people who will use their heads instead of you. If you give them your country, they will use it for their purposes, most likely as their wastedump, because they re not particularly creative too. There are two kinds of Eastern Europeans living in the EU. One kind is the one which completely gave up its identity, and thinks as an American in New York, anxious, because his country doesnt look like New York, the other is who hates the EU with passion. Neither of them is particularly happy. I told New York because even the Germans want to be Americans inside, like our great president von der Leyen with her official California home address, theres nothing European about the EU its a big neoliberal organization to further big corpo interests, absolutely not worth a droplet of any body fluid.

Will you invite Ukraine, or Russia maybe? Just some suggestions. If anyone is interested in the German oppinion, as far as I know from your minister you are in a war with Russia, and as weak, as you cant even protect your own pipelines. You don't have a card in this game, neither by military force, nor by diplomatic weight. Russians don't respect you, they know that you are just a generic US lackey, who will do as they told you, Ukraine don't respect you, they are just pushing you around with the help of mainstream media, Poland don't respect you, they are building a military force to invade Western Ukraine, because they see the opportunity, and you can do nothing about it. You can lay back and enjoy the show from the perspective of subdued and insignificant countries, and leave the decisions to the bigones.

You know you are lost when you argue the well documented reality. It only takes a google search to validate the existence of those documents, but those are not countered by any western official sources. But of course that does not matter, even the Urkainians themselves dont matter, they want to die, thats on them, we, the outside world just watching them, like when you watch a heroine addict injecting himself with lethal drugs, and keep nodding, that it shouldnt be done, but you cant do anything about it. @thegreatdane3627

@happymelon7129 Theres a heavy liberal bias on our media, which makes you believe so. But on the ground level things arent as NATO friendly as DW would like. We made a strong position for Palestine against US interests. Besides there are nations in the EU who are genuinely terrified of Russia, I can say I understand them, although totally giving in to their fears is not entirely rational. We can manage Russia, and Russians know we can manage them even without the US. We have 5 times their manpower ten times bigger professional army, our technology is better and made in bigger quantities, so they couldnt win a fight against a united Europe. Ukraine is an entirely different matter, they are absolutely the underdogs on that fight, we would have to deliver absolute miracle weapons to compensate for that, and in one hand while our tech is better it is not that better, on the other hand noone gives their miracle weapons to Ukraine, which they possibly want to have in a hot conflict untouched. Thatswhy they dont get Taurus, because if they would get Taurus, Russians would learn how to deal with it, and it is developed against Russian theta bunkers in Kaliningrad, not to score some highly symbolic bridge victory in Kerch.

China, behave as a real superpower does! If the USA claims you are sending help, declare that you send double time. If they cry out sanctions, kill their industry. They are no match for you, just a bunch of crybaby losers. Their international law is nonexistent, they are crossing it whenever they want it to. They don't respect anyone's sovereignty, so their wishes must be ignored and their threats countered by force, because thats the only language they understand. They already declared that they are your enemy, every single weapon you destroy in Ukraine can't be used against you. If the war ends they will sanction you, and their European puppets will join, they don't have autonomous will, but if they fail in their schemes now, they will look weak, and start to negotiate.

@soreeyez Russians and Ukrainians are the SAME people, seriously. They own Europe's 1st and 2nd largest countries respectively yet they still cry about how everyone wants to steal from them, and threaten their neighbours with invasions on a daily basis. But that doesnt change the fact, that Hungary's neighbour is not Russia but Ukraine, Hungary is not threatened by Russia, but Ukraine. We could respond to these threats by sending our military to the Ukrainian border, and even if we dont cross, that would be a huge blow to the Ukrainian military, but we let them alone, but thats the most which they can get from Hungarians militarily speaking. EU is not militaristic but uneducated and westerners are led by a bunch of slavic genocidals werewolves from the baltics who want to kill everything russian, and we, as enlightened people really dont like that.

@cristiangaban960 You are very wrong if you try to defend Georgia in Hungary. They started it by shelling Ossetian cities, and killing ossetian minorities. And Ossetians are a brother nation to Hungary, they are kins to the Jasz people. Oh BTW, as far as I remember, when Spain invaded Catalonia with tanks, because of their independence wish EU did nothing except arresting Catalonian prime minister in Brussels. Because suprise EU does exactly NOTHING for minority rights, which are basic human rights meanwhile they are bragging constantly about LGBTQ+ BS. Its not angering because of gay people, its angering because EU pretends that everything is allright meanwhile Estonian prime minister can say, that she would sleep better if russian ethnics in her country would be wiped, slovaks can strip ethnic Hungarians from their belongings based on a barbaric law, romanians can get away by stealing all the money from Ardea region where ethnic majority Hungarians are living, Greeks can play their supranational BS against Macedonians based on a 1000 years old legend, and supress their minorities, together with France and Italy. Want to be seen as enlighened people then behave like one, and not push the rubbish under the carpet, but take sides on these issues. BTW what is this double standard, that Chechens and Kosovars can decide about their belongings, meanwhile Crimean Russians cant.

Its not that age matters its simply that boomers clinging desperately to their power just to have a final gobbling before they go out and everything collapses in the world. They were always called the "me" generation, because it was always everything about them, when they were hippies it served their purpose, because they were poor, then when they got the money they became reaganites to keep it, now they are fighting for their pensions. They talk like they are the great generation, but they actually arent, they didnt fight for their country on the contrary, they were the ones who got rid of the drafting, so that they secured their personal safety, and now they want the youngsters with diminishing wages bleak prospects to fight for them.

Can you tell me what Europe is? If the Chechens start again their insurrection, then are they Europe or they are not Europe? If the Kazahs start a war with Russia, then are they Europe or arent they Europe? This whole Ukraine thing questions everything, Ukraine is not a memberstate of the European Union, if the EU gives security guarantees to nonmembers, then which countries are included in that. On what terms Europe can declare war, is it unanimous, or is it a majority decision, if it is a majority decision, then those countries who opted out are in war or arent in war. We wont give out blank checkques to foreign powers dragging us into war, these questions have to be crystal clear.

Its not that they are popular, its that you are unpopular. Not that you werent warned DW that you dont represent european interests with the Michael Walkers at your helm... didnt you hear about Brexit? Not that we chose them to quit, but those actions should have consequences, especially that we dont like a British media pundits running European media. Sorry but facts are facts they are out, and wont be trusted until they join back. End of story. And your stance on Ukraine is straight out delusional. Ok Europe supports them but not at the cost of going down the drain. If we would have listened to you there wouldnt be a single weapon left in Europe all of those would be burning in Ukraine, Americans would invade Greenland, and we could do nothing about it. We listened for three years that zelensky only accepts peace if they regain Crimea, ok I have no objection if they have the force, but that shouldnt be the European position, because its totally unrealistic. Now you changed the tune, and pretend that it had never happened, but it did. You would have made europe entirely dependent on gas transits from Trump, who would use that as a weapon in his dealings, straight out bullying anyone who dared not to enslave themselves to the Americans. I respect the Polish and Baltic position, but they are just that the Polish and Baltic position, not the official policy of 30 countries in the continent.

Lol, do you know my dear western friends, that in Norway you are literally training revolutionaries to topple governments all around the world, COMINTERN style, in an event called Oslo Freedom Forum, and sponsored by USAID and National Endowment for Democracy, which are, well lets face it CIA front organizations? Im not joking or exaggregating, thats exactly the claim of the BBC. And for your suprise one of the participants was no other but the Georgian opposition leader. Can we tell after this, that he is on your payroll, or is it overaggregation?

Well, dear mr Ayalon, if you dont like your government you should remove it, THEN we will believe your words.
And yes we can tell you exactly what you must do, from an idealistic perspective is because there are international laws, which Israel must obey, as any other country in the world, from a realistic perspective we give you the money and the weapons to make your military, so we have cards in the game, which we can withdraw anytime.
About your last sentence about the people who see your point and the Palestinian point in the wonderful cities of London and America, maybe you know, that if anyone in those wonderful places dares to speak up against the atrocities comitted by your country, they are labeled by your government sponsored foreign agencies as antisemites, targeted with hate campaigns, maybe you know, that your leader despises the UN general assembly on a regular basis, that your ambassador to the UN does things there and have hate speeches, which would leave the table hitting Kruschev speechless, that the people who represent your country to us constantly behaves as they can trick out world oppinion by making cross trickery with superpowers in order to get away with unacceptable things your state makes.
And finally we have some doubts about your great democracy, when a person like Netanyahu can survive any kind of political storm, and reign there for decades, while his criminal activities are in full open.

Some of your food is banned in Europe dear Americans, because it contains additives, which provenly cause cancer, your politicians know about it, yet they do nothing about it. Look at the Swasticar, man, thats a roadtank, it is not only dangerous to the pedestrians, but to the drivers themselves, if it collides theres no dampening, it will kill the driver instantly, it has electirc doors and bulletproof windows, if a batterry fire breaks out, its literally an oven without escape. We dont let such cars into our roads, if we want to lower our safety standards we could just buy dirtcheap chinese deathtrap EVs.

Well, we have a lot of free market praising people, some of them like to reference Adam Smith, the founder of the moder economics theory, but it seems noone has read his book, which literally starts on lamenting why does it worth it to Scottish smugglers to trade with Napoleonic France, when there is a Governement sanction reinforced by death penalty, and concludes, that supply and demand rules the trade. What you reference to is the very basic building block of capitalism and human nature. Even the Soviets did it, NASA literally went to the moon on Russian titanium. Thatswhy there wont be any encapsulation, even if politicians want it, because it would be like swimming against the current, whoever tries it sinks. @inzhener2007

Just explain me one thing Ivan, because I don't get it. How is it possible, that Ukraine, who manufactured the Zenith orbital rocket 10 years ago, and launched satellites with them cant make their own goddamn ballistic missiles shoot to 300 kliks? How come, that the country, which manufactured the biggest goddamn transport plane in the world cant produce a frigin fighterjet? How is it possible, that the second biggest country in Europe has to cry to Switzerland, a little flycrp on a map to produce arti shells for them? You rolled S-300's down from production lines 30 years ago, like if they were candies, and you have to cry for crappy NASAMS? Where is your fking industry? We really need to turn Europe into war economy, because you cant produce anything else than sunflower oil anymore? Who is responsible for all of this? Let me guess, Poroshenko and Zelensky. And you wonder why some people want back the Soviet times, when Ukraine was an industrial state.

We dont give that frozen Russian money to Ukraine for weapons Jessica, because we will give that money to them for rebuilding. Seriously what do you think what Europe is a bottomless piggybank? Wont you cry us a river, when this war ends, Ukrainians are sitting in the middle of an ungovernable country where all of the powerplants are down, all of the industry is in ruins, that there is a humanitarian catastrophe? I tell you that Putin's hybrid warfare will be very effective when people start dying in poverty in Ukraine. They are literally in a lifeline from Europe, we pay their pensions, their industry everything, so from what should we pay these expenses? Sooner than later they have to have a working economy, and you are suggsting taht we should give them more destructive power to demolish even more industry and infrastructure, taking up trillions on loans and give them, while AfD and the far right is looming under your garden, and Europe is in a recession. No they wont get those trillions, because those governments which would give them those trillions simply wont exists. Giving them money for weapons is like giving booze to an alcoholic.

@balung They did not invade Tibet my dear, the dalai lamas were so busy to kill each other, so the tibetans specifically asked for Chinese political control in the 17. century, and that was perfectly OK for them until 1900, when the Brits invented this idea to form a separate country, but they were under Chinese political control back then. They only had one really independent leader, the current Dalai lama, which lasted for 15 years, and even he admitted, that Tibet should be controlled by the Chinese, and only asked religious autonomy. It wasn't wise, that he was expelled, but thats a different story.

@Nebrox They need conscription because the Ukrainian military was at least 800.000 strong, they can't protect their flanks with 100.000 people. This figure is actually from the MOSSAD, but it coincides with the Meduza reports which details their casualties down to military districts, and coincides with the attrition calculations of the Washington post, so these numbers are actually double checked, and logical. They literally retreat from any situation where they could lose a high amount of manpower, while constantly shelling the Ukrainians from afar. They could be routed, but Ukrainians missed two opportunities, once when their recon units closed on Severodonetsk, but they chose to go for north during the Khakhov offensive, and second time, when they let them slip away in the Kherson offensive. Those were grave mistakes from the Ukrainians, if they would exploited those situations, there wouldn't be any fight for Bakhmut, and Russinas wouldn't be in a position near the Dnyieper shore.

I remember how did it all started. The Georgian legion was the literal starting point, with its leader Mamouka Mamoulasvili, who started his military career as a 15 years old, when he accompanied his father for some manhunting against the Abkhaz rebels. He showed up half a year before the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine, and from that point on took part in the fight against Russians, where they became famous of their not taking prisoners approach to the point where the military leadership staright out refused him to allow his regular blogposts about some of the techniques they used to get rid of them. This unit was filled from january unofficially with American and British rangers and paratroopers before the war started. One of them Jason Haigh was directed to the airfield of Gostomel, where after the Russian assault was caught by the Ukrainian intelligence and falsely identified as a Russian saboteur, ended his miseries in earth. Then there were maybe 30.000 foreign fighters went through the border on the first week or so to fight. Ukraine concentrated them in a camping complex near Lviv, to integrate them into new units, which the Russians somehow sniffed out. They used 30 Kalibr missiles against the camp, which insta killed 3000 of them, 20.000 ran back to Poland, and 7000 remained. Most of the remaining troops made their own companies like the Normann brigade, which was named after a half crazy guy Hrulff, a french Canadian who was living with his Ukrainian mistress in the middle of a yurt, and hunted the Russians from a horseback with an AK, and didnt even tolerate AFU units in his small kingdom. Then Ukrainians decided they dont like these ragtag units roaming the countryside, and organized the international legion, but unfortunately gave the command to a Polish maffia boss, who was living in Ukraine under disguise for a decade, who straight out taxed the fighters, took every equipment they had and put it into a common armory, from where it was never retrievable. His little kingdom came to an end, when he used the legion to break into a furniture shop in Severodonetsk, and take everything they found there to his warehouse. During the battle of Bakhmut some westerners showed up, like the Wolverines, whom we dont know too much, and the Mozart group, som tributary to Wagner, whch was lead by Colonel Milburn, and ex Marine. They were pretty well financed, since they got somewhat 700 k/month, and had big parties, where the Colonel liked to explain under the influence of some narcotics, that meanwhile he hates Azov and Zelensky with a passion, but what the Russians are doing is not good, so he has to fight. His befall was attributed when he went out with a few bottles of whiskey and a camera into the middle of the battle of Bakhmut, where he in a very drunken mood called out Zaluzhny and Zelensky about the lies they are spreading after which he was immediately dismissed from duty. Around thistime Soldier X came into knowledge, an australian intel specialist, who talked to some western blogs, about that Wagner actually know what they are doing, and they use squad level tactics with teams up to 5 with heavy drone coverage, not some general meatwave attacks, as the media portrayed it , and the average life expectancy of his soldiers is around 4 hoursafter which a manhunt started after him initiated by the Ukrainian intelligence, leaving him the option to seek refuge in the US embassy before evced from the country.

I dont think he needs to. European leadership wants to make Europe entirely dependent on America, which is not only subservience, but costs a ton to European citizens. Why would Belarus join that? BTW american news is full of Trump intimidating the Danish prime minister, which is Dictatorial Welle doesnt even dare to speak about..... Wheres hard as a rock Ursula when americans threatening a n EU member with military intervention? Oh yeah she is trembling under a rock hallucinating about pragmatic relations. Where are your Polish and Baltic buddies crying us a river about European security, and who wanted to demilitarize Europe and send everything to Ukraine? Oh yeah they are counting their dollars and buy hundreds more American junk. Theres not a single weapon int the Polish military which is not made in the USA. Their foreign minister Sikorsky sent Thank you USA loveletters when "someone" blew up a German pipeline. Where is your Zelensky offering protection to Europe? Oh, he is chilling in Mar a Lago, making BFF with Orange Man, sending Europe video mails to send him more money or else. He sent drone operators to Syria firefighters to America, will he send drone operators to Greenland if the time comes, or he just hides under a rock, because if he doesnt then Ukraine should be an American state not a European state?

@gilh3947 Things dont just happen out of the blue. Everything what made Trump Trump was started under Nixon, perfected under Reagan, and made into fruition under Trump. Reagan was the one, who started to attend CPAC, Rush Limbaugh was the first talkshow host who made Breibart, and Fox spew hating possible, with close ties to the Reagan whitehouse gerrymandering was the norm of the republican political pundits to steal elections, and question results. Reagan destroyed mental care institutions in us waged war on social security as a communist thing, funded illegally at least two wars, which actually werent connected to the Soviets, for which some of his aides were actually jailed, he even had the drop nukes to the hurricane idea, increased the sovereign debt rating of America by 80%, waged war on renewables(Carter put photovoltaic panels on the top of the White House, which Reagan ordered them to be destroyed), fired air traffic controllers during their strike and used military to fill their posts, disbanded the metric system from US education, because it was not patriotic enough for him. Yep, he was pretty much the Donald Trump of the 80s.

The problem is, that you dont want to tackle corruption, because you dont really know what it really is. Ok lets say that Putin or Orban is corrupt, that they have palaces, which actually EU leaders have too, but lets forget it for a moment. The core problem of corruption, which makes you ineffective, that it costs you 1000 Eur to manufacture the same 155 mm artillery shell that Putin makes for 10 Eur. You see why he is winning? Ok Europe has bigger resource pool, but not thatmuch bigger than how much your cronies and olygarchs actually cost you. Now that is the corruption which is actually problematic, because it hurts production therefore your ability to project power. Of course US and EU politicians dont really care since the money remains in the US and EU ecosystem, but it is a problem, when you cant give enough to your proxies to be effective. Yeah Putin is a corrupt stooge, but he is not that silly to destroy those industries which keep him in power, if they need the weapons then he tells his olygarchs to steal less.

Correct, the only problem is that it was the US neocon's idea to push these countries into NATO to begin with. Yep, Baltics is a tough nut to crack, in the good old days it was enough for them that a Fulda gap like defense would be installed on their territory, which guarantees that help will come from Poland direction, but nowadays someone told tham, that they should be defended from day1 at all costs, which is a huge problem, because that requires awfully big investments without too much strategic return. They should just grab a ferry and wait out till we liberate their territory instead of doing this. Regarding to Ukraine, there are only two countries in Europe who can legitimately guarantee Ukraine's independence, France and the UK, all the other countries worth nothing since they arent nuclear powers like Russia.

Americans see AIPAC as a security threat, so the influence is gone, the antisemitism card is in tatters, and Israel is in front of the ICJ. You guys lost more on international relations in mere 3 months than the preceding 70 years. Not to tell, that the government is seen as a far right coalition of cleptocrats, religious fanatics, and borderline crazies, as they really are, which was lesser known for the international audience before.

Of course its true. If you walk around western Europe do you think you will find your petty nationalistic BS? No, you will find Catalans, and Vasques, and Welsh, and Bretons speaking their own language, having their own roadsigns, and having their own culture. Meanwhile the Czechs are lobbying for their Benes decrees, which give them right to confiscate German properties in Czechia up to this day, not just supressing minorities. Its so clearly against the three freedoms of the EU, free movement of property, people and capital, that its a real shame EU didnt say to them forget it or quit the union. @rh7018

Americans were just destroyed by the Chinese in AI. Nvidia dropped 12% in shareprice in a single day... They made their ChatGPT out of 5 million and 2000 chips. Lemme guess, after crying us a river why Germany doesnt invest everything into EV, which are literally bonkers, you cried us a river, why Germany dont push billions into AI, now you will tell us why Germany doesnt build spacerockets, for which theres literally no market for. When will you learn, that elon Musk is a grifter he is living off government subsidies, and whatever he does would never survive in a competitive freemarket environment? When will you learn that the hypetrain is not real economy, and car manufacturers know way better their business, than you uneducated journalists do?

Pleas Georgians. You have to understand that the EU is not NATO, its not the west, the EU is a european peace initiative, and contribution project. Everybody who joined in sacrificed some lands claimed by other countries, every nation settled their differences, those which didnt arent really representing its core values, and dont understand what it stands for. You have to be in good terms with Russia to a rational degree, regardless of how horrible people they are, because the EU finally wants to be in good terms with Russia. You have to settle your differences with the Georgian dream people too, we wont overturn your democratic government, I understand that you see these thing differently, but we dont want to make any of your population our enemies.Besides theres not everything butter milk and honey in the EU too. It will take hard times and decades till you will really see the benefits, all along there will be evil EU croporate people who will try to trick you, dumping their waste in your country and get your natural resources, that does not represents the view of the community, but regardless they are operating on legal grounds, so we cant to anything about them, so you have to be alert on what you accept and what you dont.

I dont think that actually any country want to land humans on Moon. They can sell the patriotic stuff by showing off CGI and sending there small rovers, without building rockets which costs billions of dollars for literally nothing to gain. Yeah sure Artemis made a flyby ran by old backup shuttle engines, which arent even produced anymore, scraped up from 20 years old stockpiles but heres the catch, the Muskmobile will never work, they know exactly that it will never work, so they have an excellent excuse not to land, while pushing all the blame to Space Jesus. How do we know that they know the Muskmobile wont work? Because if they would think it would work, they wouldnt build Artemis on the firstplace, and would just use the Muskmobile all the way to the Moon. The Chinese rocket is a Proton replica, and the Proton never had the power requirements to send humans to the Moons surface, and they dont have a bigger rocket to do it, which has to be constructed before from scratch, so they definitely wont land there by 2030.These missions are just circus for the plebs, while subventionalizing their own launch market giving them billions in taxpayer cash to underbid the competition for alaunching commercial satellites.

@Dam-a-fence Well, if you look it in a historical perspective sooner or later Israel is always wiped off the map of the Middle East. It was done by the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Hettites, the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Turks. Palestinians know full well, if Israelis do not integrate to the Middle Eastern political bloc they will vanish again, and that time is actually on their side.

@dougcoombes8497 They fired their 4000'th precision guided cruise missile in january. Thats twice the number of precision weapons the US used in its wars in 30 years, and you still buy, that they have problems with microelectronics? Thats a clear bs. They have 6.000 tanks in their operational reserves AND 13000 in their field depots, now the latter are the rusting junks, which we don't talk about. They fortified the whole Dnyieper shore with AT mines and concrete bunkers, and ordered in 300.000 conscript to defend it. You can search the New York Times article. Why do you think you don't see this mass of troops attacking? Because they are waiting for the ukries in their positions, to make a bloodbath, when they try. So the ukries have to cross a river which is actually wider than the widest lake in Europe, in some places almost as wide as the channel, there they have to go through a 10 mile zone of mines and fortification, to which Bahmut looks like a little schooltour, while Russians can launch 10.000 rounds for them and they can shoot back 500. But they can send infantry against that, well thats what I would call a human wave attack. It will be a slaughterhouse, but noone can retreat from the web of lies, what the West and Ukrainians invented, so the Russians only have to play the defensive this time to grab a devastating victory. They still have a military, which is a match for NATO, not for Ukraine, thats what everybody keeps forgetting.

Thats not a basic value of the EU that we help out the weaker nations with military, if that would be the case we would have to supply weapons against Israel for the palestinians. But I will tell you, the EU of what we joined required minority rights to be respected, and look where we are now? Ukrainians slovaks, czechs have language laws, there is no citizenship for ethnic russians in Latvia Lithuania and Estonia, who lived there before those countries even existed, and your fantastic EU with its core values doesnt even lift an eyebrow. But I will tell ya something. You can play these little games with Russians, Hungarians, or anyone else, but then bear the consequences. If germans want to die in Estonia, so they can play the master fascists, a country with 2 million inhabitant playing with the Russian bear, thats on them, we have nothing to do with it. Ethnic conflicts are the No1 causes of war in the world, if someone plays these ultranationalist games, he plays with fire. @hhKJgf1M8a0rzt8hP

Well, no, this conflict will be the death of the EU as we know it, either if Putin wins it or loses it. The EU basically states with it, that it doesnt care if a country, like Ukraine imposes an ethnic policy on its subjects which goes for homogenization of the population. Now the problem comes, how does the EU as a federal state wants to work in an environment, where forced polonization, czechisation, slovakization, lithuanization etc are ongoing. That would mean, when you go to Estonia as a british you have to speak estonian, if you live there you wouldnt have the right to send your kids into a british school, they have to learn in the estonian school etc. This is against the very core of the fundamentals of EU, it will just disintegrate.

Do you have any choice Kira than to stop this war if backers dry up? I mean yeah you can fight with sticks and stones in theory, in practice its not too realistic. Truth is on your side I get it, but reality is not. You should have made a peace deal a year ago when you looked strong. Zaluzhny told ya back then that ukraine doesnt have the forces to break through Russian defenses, thatswhy you decided to relieve him, but that doesnt make his points moot. While your leadership talks big, they are actually terrified to end this conflict, vecause that will bring shifting focus and economic hardships, and follow an indecisive policy, I get that too, but the later you make peace the more the hardship will be. Again if Zelensky would have told Europe that he quits if Ukraine receives 300 billion in development aid a year ago, he would have got what he wanted Europeans would be back to business as usual, and Ukrinian msoldiers would be alive and well. Now, he cant ask thatmuch because again, Ukraine has no choice but to do what Trump tells you to do.

I dont think SPD should enter into a coalition with CDU. Merz will be an unpopular leader, so its more advantgeous being his opposition. Also the debtbrake should be kept at all costs. I dont think they can gther the 2/3 to lift it, the AfD will certainly being not interested in that, and SPD should oppose it too. Spending on weapons from debt will just harm the economy, without bringing in any benefit, if Merz raises taxes he will be ousted, so tactically theres no reason not to oppose it. Also it would be nice if CdU would get the green treatment in the next 4 years, they should be in coalition with Merz... if SPD follow this strategy they will be so back few years from now, if not, they will be scapegoated for what the rightwing screwed up, as usual.

Yeah, Estonia have above avergare GDP spending, that doesnt mean that their military is actually capable, thats the curse of being a small country. Finnish artillery is somewhat big, with its 1500 units, but not that particularly big since Poland have 3000 units alone. Thats the only part of the finnish military where they outperform. They underperform in tank numbers, fighterjets, they maybe having a dozen, airdefense per squaremiles, attack helicopters their total reservist pool is something around 1 million, which is particularly low even if you compare that to eastern european microstates. Combined with a nonexistent navy to amintain a Finnish front is a logistical nightmare without domestic weapons production, airlifting capabilities, or any way to resupply the country.

You cant always just throw money on a problem and hope it will go away. We cant base our economy on magic batterries, nonexistent fuelcells, and general scifi BS, we can only implement whats on the market right now. The people in the Manhattan project knew full well, that what they are doing is possible just extremely costly, we dont have thatkind of research done for these new technologies. Thatswhy noone even proposed a Manhattan project before Lisa Meitner splitted uranium, although Leo Szilard already had the idea in mind that it might be possible with some unstable element inculding uranium 6 years ahead and patented it in London, but it was so highly speculational since even the neutron wasnt discovered back then that noone take it too seriously. The when Szilard read about the Meitner experiment, he knew instantly that it can be done, he caught a ride to Einstein and convinced him to write a letter to Roosevelt, and start working on it before nazies realize what they have discovered.

Yeah sure, everyone is unjust and unprovoked to the poor Ukrainian victims.... Maybe if everyone hates lil Z with a burning passion, then he should look into where he is mistaken.... No little liberal dictatorwoman, your insignificant boss talked back to the president of the united states in front of the media, on whom your entire existence depends, thats what happened. He tried to use his usual gaslighting tactics, to break down the peace negotiations with Russia, the he dont trust it, and tried to push the president into a moral maximalist position, instead Trump told him, that he is not in a position to negotiate without the United States.

Lol yeah, there are this norther front inside the EU, which has very big mouth, when it comes to community, unfortunately those are the same guys who called the southern countries pigs, when the EU should have acted together in the 2008 financial crysis. So basically everyone accepted the realities, that scandinavian countries and Germany have their own ways. If they want something, then they should step up their production, not per capita, but total, because its their petproject, and be grateful for every single bullet arriving from the south.

@wekurtz72 Problem is, that they are putting way more into this than the west, and I dont care how much the theoretical worth of equipment the west is sending into Ukraine. It simply comes out that some military doctrines in NATO are dead wrong, 100 dumb munitions with 10-20% error are better than one precision munition, which costs the same. We cant rely on Javelins produced by 400 a year quantities, while Russians are capable to produce 800 tank a year. And even if a Tomahawks precision is 5 meters, it does not compensate the fact, that 60 of those produced yearly, while Russians made 1200 Kalibr in a single year. We have to learn from this. We wont win a war against Russia and China combined with money sinks like the F35. It was ordered to be a cheap easy to maintain state of the art fighterjet, and turned out to be a horribly overpriced craphole, which cant operate 30% of the time. yeah you win wars against the Afghans with these, not the Chinese who sends up 10 plane to intercept it on the same pricetag.

I dont care how many military installations you have in Germany. That means you protect Germany not me, not even the frontlines, from the wrath of the Swiss, or Luxembourg, or god knows whom, because Germany has all allied nations in its neighborhood. So that means te other 30 European country owns you nothing. Its like if you would ask gratitude from Cambodia, because you have military bases in the Philippines for protecting "Asia". BTW there is Europe east of the iron curtain, which means by definition, that you didnt protected Europe, just western Europe some 40 years ago. I have nothing personal against Americans or NATO, but facts are facts our GIs died in Afghanistan, wile not a single American GI ever died or set foot in my country, so that describe who owes whom.

So you couped Scholtz Kuffner and now you want to tell him to form a colaition with a digusting rightwinger and completely destroy his party, because you said so. No, if I would be a German leftwinger I wouldnt form a coalition with mr Burns even if hells angels would be flying over my head.... If it was a patriotic duty to show German unity, then CDU should have offered support to the Scholtz government instead of forcing them out. You wanted a new election, the CDU could have just suported Scholtz as the chancellor they chose to coup him, so its their responsibility from now on how they want to govern. Reality is that CDU made this election out of an ego trip, they sabotaged German leadership, CDU voted down every single thime the Ampelcoalition when they tried to lift the debtbrake, and I would do exactly the same with the CDU if I would be a social democrat leader to return the favor, and if the social democrats wont make a deal with them they will be sitting ducks, the AfD or the Left will never support their militarization ideas, they are too few even with the Greens and Merz will be out in 2 years. If it was so important to you to maintanin the status quo you should have never sided with Merz.

@danielgaspar1992 Ok, but the US made that growth literally by taking up debt and pushing that debt into their economy. EU debtrates are nowhere near US debtrates, there are countries in the EU which are close, but even those are not that indebted, they are 130% of their GDP, 36 trillion dollars, anyone with a rational sense knows they will never pay it back. Italy, you know with their irresponsible spending has a 110%, Greece when it defaulted had a 98%, those are big, but theres a Germany next to them with a 60% debtrate, there is noone next to the US, even if there would be the absolute amount is too much for anyone to give guarantee or bail them out. Any other country in the world would default with such a debt, so they are literally walking on eggs not to ruin their entire financial system. And its a tricky one, we know it in Europe, of course they can do austerities, but that will affect that growth that you described which was fuelled by that debt, if they dont have growth that means their debtrate wont decline, but their livingstandards and infrastructure will, so in the end they wont win thatmuch with it. If they default out that means the end of their banking system, their infrastructural loans, the petrodollar, and US empire forever.

Theres actually a difference between taking back land from Ukraine, or caring about their territorial losses to other nations. We coluld say, its not our responsibility or problem, we actually never told them that we will defend those lands, or their territorial integrity, and even if we would do it, that would serve the interests of Hungarian homeland defense only, not taking into consideration any Ukrainian interests. That would be the politics towards Romania as well, yeah we would go there with our military, but not to save Romanians from Russian occupation, but to stop them in Romania before they could reach us with any damage pushed to their territory regardless of its consequences to the local populace. So lets face it everyone is better off if we dont show up. @martavdz4972

Lol just dont think that you are not authoritarian. Yannis Varoufakis told it all, there are liberal authoritarians, who dont give a damn about democracy at all (look the Irish and Greek referendum they torped, and their constant blackmailing, and pushing exactly the same agenda in every single country), and there are the conservative authoritarians. Theres no democracy, its officially dead, one bunch is more antidemocratic than the other, and tries to win outside of the ballots. No matter how many CDU or SPD or Green named parties you have those are all puppet parties of the liberal authoritarian establishment, not real choices, and whoever would be a real choice is labelled as far right by their media. These parties are like Putin's selected opposition, a selected few who could play their role in the drama pretending tat they represent the will of the people.
