  1. Well compared to Poland Hungary is still a secular state where women have their reproductive rights secured... Even Orban doesnt dare to play with such topics. I would be actually very sad if Hungary would ever follow Poland's footsteps in anything, because you guys are a little bit too fanatical.

  2. Yeah, it pretty hard to explain an average Hungarian, who gave up 60% of his country for peace in Europe, why should he give a dime if Ukraine has to give up 20% of its territory for peace in Europe, on thatone you are very right.

It is deeply rooted in the fact that the last time we went on a liberation campaign against the red menace to the east with the almighty European army, that was called the battle of Stalingrad, and nothing good came out of it. The minor reason is that the ukrainians treat Hungarian minority the same way as the Russians, and we are allergic to that. And the realist reason that Hungary defends the airspace of almost all neighboring nations, because they donated all of their military hardware away. The economic reason is that we are 100% sure Germany will crawl back to Putin as soon as this war ends, and while they can get discounts for themselves Russians will definitely give some hard time to smaller nations which they can afford to show their wrath to. We dont buy into this great western democracy campaign, we think that the west as every single capitalist society ultimately is driven by greed, which will show its face its just a matter of time.

  8. Yeah sure, you will get rid of a 2000 years old organization, the catholic church which is specialized on to pushback on any liberal or progressive ideology by electing a liberal president. Liberal means, that he wont want to step on their feet inthe firstcase, and it would take you 100 years to change poland into a normal country. And dont spin your Russia hatred as a modern liberal tendency, it is just plain old racism, which is rooted deeply in Polish culture. Some of our neighbors talking about historical grudges against them, but I would tell you the average Hungarian doesnt hate any nation beyond a certain rational and very low level, but what you feel towards the russians is straight out pathological. And it will be unsustainable on the EU level longterm, simply because the EU's promise is to bring peace and prosperity, meanwhile currently it is driving poverty and war. So either they change their ways, or there wont be an EU in the longterm, so either way your views wont succeed. The british are playing on you like a fine tuned instrument, using the Poles as a battering ram, but not against the Russians, thatswhere you are mistaken, but against the EU, because thatshow they want to make their Brexit a success story, when thats done, they wont care. If you continue like this at the end you will be left totally alone and isolated with a very powerful enemy at your neighborhood.

Yeah, we in the opposition are into this like 15 years going from protest to protest, while the magnificient EU bureacrats spent their days watching footbal matches in the VIP sector with Orban, while he could build the "the leader will trick them out" image. No wonder that the EU parliament attacks the comission so vehemently they know full well, that those guys would still protect Orban's as s in a short notice, just to not have internal quarrels. So tell me who is responsible...

  15. We arent friendly with Putin or the Russians, we just see them as humans, while our western partners went a mile deep to dehumanize them. I dont think any nation deserves that treatment regardless of what they done.

  16. The problem with these guys are, that they have no real backing or political background behind them. If they dont win against Orban, then they become pariahs and the people who would elect them just go for another single use rockstar rinse and repeat. He is not the first and not the last messiah who wants to contend Orban's rule, and the time they learn their game they fall out of favor.

  18. Theres actually a difference between taking back land from Ukraine, or caring about their territorial losses to other nations. We coluld say, its not our responsibility or problem, we actually never told them that we will defend those lands, or their territorial integrity, and even if we would do it, that would serve the interests of Hungarian homeland defense only, not taking into consideration any Ukrainian interests. That would be the politics towards Romania as well, yeah we would go there with our military, but not to save Romanians from Russian occupation, but to stop them in Romania before they could reach us with any damage pushed to their territory regardless of its consequences to the local populace. So lets face it everyone is better off if we dont show up. @martavdz4972
