  8. i was just waiting for somebody to stand up and be like 'one of the reasons the internet has proven divisive to one extent or another is because "truth" in many ways is relative; take for instance this whole fake news ordeal, we know for a fact that many of the major "news" organizations not only no longer conduct thorough investigative journalism, but they're also in cahoots with the CIA and other alphabet agencies to deliberately deceive and mislead the public by publishing propaganda as if it were news. if we want to start going after fake news, wouldn't it be a much more meaningful endeavour to go after the "news" organizations that are trusted as such? i mean, which is more important: going after either illegitimate organizations that publish blatantly false stories or "legitimate" organizations that publish half truths to deliberately deceive and mislead?' i was waiting this to happen and it never did :.(
