seems like every part of our society in which govt gets involved ends up falling apart...

Why are we helping irresponsible individuals who decide to have children which the parents cannot afford and neglecting those in need who make better decisions?
12
Hm… I don’t think the BOC is shocked by how the interest rates have affected RE prices 🤔
8
typical absurdly stupid govt action. "hey, lets get these companies who are providing value to other companies to pay those other companies for the value theyre providing to them"
7
13:00 classic Ponzi scheme… but it’s ok cuz the it’s the govt…
5
so many politicians are landlords themselves. this explanation is a lot simpler than banks etc profiting from mortgage fraud
5
its going to take time to see the effect of high interest rates. just wait until most ppl begin trying to renew (i.e. 2024-2026)

russell, how can you still believe that the govt does this sort of stuff to help ppl/orgs? the govt doesnt do anything to help anybody unless the govt directly benefits in one way or another
3
combining multiple unrelated acts within a single bill is effed up. the only practical reason for doing this is to manipulate and or defraud in some way. but nothing new here as we are talking about govt
3
raise the rates. let the market crash and the financially irresponsible suffer so that i can buy at a reasonable price instead of not being able to afford bloated prices xD
3
youd think that, if this inflation were caused by anything other than greed, the companies seeing higher and higher profits would also be subject to it. so, either inflation is already spiraling out of control or its purely due to greed in the absence of real causes
3
its the govt itself that cares less than the boc imo. for ex, the govt wants unaffordable housing prices cuz theyre all landlords and u accomplish this by keeping supply low (slow permitting processes, high costs of supplies, protecting newer homeowners who made poor financial decisions and overextended themselves, etc) and demand high (extreme immigration, etc)
3
the sellout trudeau says we should stand up for our sovereignty😂hilarious how often politicians words do not match their behaviour
2
your way of saying politicians cant be trusted and lie to us while on the campaign is a funny way of saying it...
2
Russell, this one is a knock against your credibility. Had you done your research you’d know that the report is based on next to nothing… :/
2
this report is based on next to nothing; check the references of the report...
2
wage slavery
2
demonstrate with evidence that the criteria was met
2
the CPP is literally a ponzi scheme and is quickly becoming a pyramid scheme too. actually, its even worse because we are forced into funding it
2
everybodys wages are inflationary except those and the annual bonuses of govt officials...
2
teachers and journalists these days...
2
conservatives made a good decision. this is one or the only canadian politician in history that i would actually vote for
2
i think the federal govt is definitely trying to boost the national real estate market. the boc on the other hand seems more concerned about the banks and wider economy not imploding
2
the ex-gf that im still living with right now is chinese and she got caught up in a scam like this one whereby she worked for a company in vancouver bc to expedite her PR and the company was paying her X on paper but only Y in reality while she worked full time for them and Y was a lot less than X... funny thing is that its other chinese ppl scamming foreigner chinese ppl. [edit] notably, this is going back like almost 10 years, so this crap has been going on for a while
2
what? i cant believe theyre shipping in south koreans to fill the jobs. uh so why are they receiving our tax dollars? merely so that the govt has a new source of revenue?
2
either the explanation or the bocs position lacks logic. the boc is using mortgage interest rates as a factor to gauge the level of inflation, but the boc's increasing rates and thus pushing up inflation in their own eyes
2
the debt levels in canada are off the charts and their "solution" is to allow people to assume more debt
2
govt has a great track record of incentivizing poor decision making and bad behavior. the govt needs this to justify its existence.
2
crony capitalism disguised as capitalism. after spending so much time analyzing all of this stuff, im surprised youre not an anarchist yet
2
the inflation rates are way higher than what the boc reports
2
why do the interest rates on the mortgages increase as the BoC raises their rates? is it because the banks have borrowed the money, which funds the mortgage loans, from the BoC specifically for this purpose of funding a mortgage and thus the banks are also on the hook to their own lender, the BoC?
1
hello!!!! its not the old ppl that need help. theyve had their entire lives to build up cushions and they receive so many benefits already (e.g. significantly discounted real estate in bc at least)
1
supposedly its happening in california. the rich are supposedly fleeing due to new taxes
1
so EFTs that are actively managed arent considered a business because youre paying a fee to somebody else to manage it for you? the CRA is so arbitrary sometimes lol
1
i wonder who owns/controls the century group. its certianly in a very few ppls interest to be rushing hundreds of thousands if not millions of new immigrants into the country
1
the boc knows the rates need to be high (if not higher) for longer even though they will succumb to outside pressure and deliberately lower it b4 then
1
why do you believe with all of the financial stress that companies are going to reshore their production at a higher cost all around? this seems illogical to me (p.s. i have no idea how to check replies/responses so maybe touch on this in a future video)
1
what about all of the ppl who deferred thier mortage payments during covid?? lol
1
What is it?
1
I’m in the process of buying a place right and totally agree. The self-serving politicians are doing this for nobody but themselves.
1
It’s going to be implemented at some pt whether we want it or not cuz those pushing this agenda worldwide have too much influence and their own agenda
1
you can have a home, but not a car?
1
why was this video deleted and reuploaded?
1
isnt the inverse also true, that if you pull out your money (despite whether or not you choose to reinvest at a later date), you may also miss the biggest dips in the market?
1
id rather keep my business that will be killed by the tariff than receive govt handouts
1
solutions and resolutions will never be enacted via govt
1
@rfmckean i think its pretty unreasonable to assume most ppl cant agree on anything at all. but, even if u believe most ppl cant agree on anything at all, doesnt it make u question the purpose of govt in the first place? also, more to ur point, im pretty every politician is deeply concerned about their reputation and would be scared to vote for or against either really helpful or detrimental bills
1
how in the world does it cost 541 million to cancel the the liberal gun grab program
1
maybe im stuck in an echo chamber but it seems like nobody is happy with the liberals anymore (and for good reason imo)
1
lol youre paying so many more commissions on 10 trades instead of 1, which can be very costly, so costly that it would wipe out any benefit of dollar cost avging
1
immigration is neutral lol
1
fascinating
1
why was this video deleted and reuploaded?
1
coke or pepsi (or sprite or mugs)? no canadian political party, not even the conservatives, will solve our problems.
1
this wont even keep up with inflation after 15 years and u lose bunch of benefit if u use it too quickly... lol
1
weird. i watched this video and liked it a few days ago. came back cuz a friend recommended it and noticed that my like was removed from the vid...
1
what? increasing the interest rate wouldnt increase inflation. high rates are disinflationary and sometimes even deflationary lol
1
all the plans suck. theyll cause inflation and none of them are going to make housing more affordable. it would be nice if we had leaders who wanted to focus on the root causes isntead of surface issues
1
perfect example of how crooked the system is. the fed needs money? it can print it on a whim. the fed owes money? it can defer its debt. the only interests that are respected in this country are govt and giant special interests like banks or big business.
1
unsuprising. all govts everywhere derive all of their power from coercion. govt is a scam
1
considering how deep you are into this space, im surprised it took u this long to realize most politicians are in it for their own gain :P
