what a crime, refusing to leave...
13
CXB !! again, the police officers don't have the right to physically assault somebody for simply ignoring them.
10
Nick Wylie yes, you can. why wouldn't you be allowed to ignore them? what law prohibits you from ignoring them?
6
Vernard Fields yeah, somebody telepathically made that police officer say that...
6
Nick Wylie what else can a police officer do when somebody isn't breaking any laws...

I need TPP for my BUNGHOLE!
3
Qingeaton sure, but a hell of a lot of other people believed what he was saying, because who deliberately lies to masses of people? oh, right, politicians.
2
Mister mood the m.o. of capitalism in a nutshell
2
so you can chemically alter your mind state with redbull, but not with adderall; that makes a lot of sense.
2
some people are just out to fuckin lunch

Even if he does get elected, which I hope he does, I guarantee you he pulls an Obama and for whatever reason doesn't follow through with his campaign promises
1
SJNaka101 sooo, obama chose to deceive those whom elected him rather than those whom funded him? i think that says a lot, don't you?
1
SJNaka101 you're simply speculating. sure, it might not be that simple; but we do know he failed to enact campaign promises that got him elected in the first place. if deliberately lying to the public doesn't constitute a "bad [thing]", what does? let's say bernie does get elected. what's to stop him from not carrying out his own campaign promises? if bernie got elected, he could easily turn his back on his campaign promises just like obama did.
1
***** sure, but why not disavow those terms and conditions instead of disavowing the campaign promises that got him elected in the first place?
1
***** no, i totally understand that. and i'm with you on that issue, i think money needs to be taken out of politics in that sense. however, what i don't understand is why, for instance, obama chose to deceive the voters instead of those whom funded his campaign.
1
***** i think this sort of stuff exemplifies and is testament to the brokenness of the political system.
1
***** it doesn't even improve everyday; that's undoubtedly an overestimate.
1
***** you won't know until he's given a chance to follow through on his word, if he's given a chance.
1
Sharon S yeah, i don't live in america but our system is just as flawed.
1
Sharon S i think a lot of people have so much invested in the existing state of affairs, which is why they won't be bothered to change it, and do everything in their power to divert other people from effectively changing it.
1
***** yes, i understood that. but you're missing my point... my point is that that's just an explanation; just because somebody is funded by somebody else or a group of persons doesn't guarantee that the elected will do favours for the financiers, just as if somebody is elected without massive funding doesn't guarantee that the elected won't do favours for fat cats. words are cheap. anybody is capable of saying one thing and doing another, which seems to be a long-standing trend in politics. do i think bernie is the best candidate? hell yeah. it's not much a choice, however. let's say he does get elected. nothing guarantees he'll follow through. you could end up with another obama for the next 4/8 years...
1
***** We neither have reason to believe that he will do what he pledges. It's a leap of faith. The entire political system is a giant leap of faith. It's not that different from religion, but in fact a quasi religion.
1
***** i understand why you might feel that way, but personally i'll believe it when i see it.
1
***** i never said that you said something was going to happen for sure. my point is that the "chance" something good coming from it might not even exist in the first place...
1
Terwo T again, he is prolly your best choice, but i'll believe it when i see it.
1
***** clinton is as in the dark as any other candidate
1
***** the inconvenient truth lol
1
***** sure, though that doesn't mean obama care is necessarily a bad thing.
1
***** yeah, anarchic socialism/communism is what we need! it's all about inducing everybody's greatest potential instead of ignoring the majority's potential in favor of the status quo. nice lennon reference :)

WTF
1
that cop did him a favor?!
1
go smoke some more crack
1
obviously the guy was mentally ill, though i'm not sure how his sympathy for hitler's pragmatism supports that.
1
fucking cops always power tripping
1
voting isn't worth your time, anyway.
1
That's funny because that's exactly how I feel about you, if you waste your time voting that is.
1
Neon Collects you're delusional, buddy. and your suggestion is worthless and exemplifies your lack of knowledge, since the only agency that has any oversight over local PDs is almost entirely appointed. so much for that oversight... i'm not interested in playing that game anyway. who wants to spend their precious time contriving guidelines for a sadistic institution? again, keep pretending that you have some sort of power or authority over your local PD--this shall get you far (/sarcasm).
