***** stick to your apple juice, boy

well, that was typical response from a policitican; i'm paraphrasing, so forgive me, but he basically said, "we are doing you a favour, so give us more free shit, otherwise beware because the threat will be on your doorstep next!" politicians, so predictable. they will bleed anybody, any people dry.

Conan 'Democracy' is a completely meaningless word, anyway. Canada is a "democractic constitutional monarchy" (http://www.canada.ca/en/gov/system/index.html), yet the cabinet is appointed by the governor general who also has been appointed. Furthermore, "Canada's Cabinet sets the federal government's policies and priorities for the country" (http://www.canada.ca/en/gov/system/executive.html). We, as Canadians, have such little say in who "represents" us, that to say that the government does indeed "represent" the populace is frankly a load of shit. There isn't a single government in the entire world that doesn't enforce its own existence by means other than violence and coercion. Every single government worldwide is imposed upon the governed with force and coercion and therefore violence. Nobody actually has the choice of whether or not they wish to be governed. When was the last time you were personally consulted as to whether or not you wish to be governed?! Never...... LOL (It's really not a laughing matter, though.)

the real question is if the earth is flat then why is australia so much warmer than the arctic lol

kudos for covering canadian issues!

yeah, go work 65 hours a week to have a kid so our economy doesn't go down the drain... i'm so baffled by the fact that so many people view the economy as this immutable thing.
2
Jack Ruby it could be said that even street gangs wear 'uniforms', hence they uniformly dress in particular colors or dress a particular way...
2
JessietheLookout digital puppeting, as in, like, using flash to create animations as opposed to a pencil and lots of paper? well, it sounds like you enjoy your job and that's great! by any chance, do you ever animate outside of work? like, do you work on projects for which you aren't being paid as a hobby/passion?
2
Quod Perierat of course, but we've already established that peaceful protests rarely get us anywhere and then you questioned "where does rioting get us", hence my comment.
2
Crisis of Democracy nah, but i know exactly what you're talking about. i'd use that website to enforce my spanish vocabulary :)
2
Quod Perierat If you think that's all we've been discussing... I don't know what else to say, but go reread the conversation.
2
Quod Perierat in the west working conditions have improved in only a very few countries, yet at the expense of so many other places. you can still find child labor throughout Mexico and Central and South America. you can still find what could be chalked up to slave labour throughout North, Central, and South America. many of the governments responsible for passing for legislation to deal with such conditions, along with many of the official institutions responsible for enforcing such regulations, are also responsible for depriving and stifling other nations and their economies in the east and elsewhere, thus creating deplorable conditions in general.
2
Quod Perierat you're just cherry picking information. go look at the poverty in South or Central America, or even Mexico, the US, or Canada. His point was that you said "[in the Victorian age] there was no worker safety or standard working hours, also kids worked in factories and other dangerous jobs." And his point is that we still have sweatshops all over with very similar conditions to that of the Victorian age. Hence things haven't improved that much since the Victorian age.
2
Quod Perierat you do realize it costs money to start a business? license fees. incorporation fees. the cost of products or materials. it's not as simple as you make it out to be.
2
Quod Perierat it's true. the whole idea of business is messed up for the most part. for instance, any given employee at any given mcdonald's franchise must ultimately generate more profit than the wage that they're paid by mcdonald's, otherwise the business would go bankrupt in very short order. and usually the wage they're paid is much less than the profit they generate.

what is the song that starts playing at 5:04 and plays softly in the background or as the video transitions
2
Ali Azzee yeah, but nothing was ever about combating islamic extremists. it is the west (US/CIA, and other nato countries and intelligence organizations) that was and is funding ISIS and who had funded al-Qaeda and a number of other unethical "movements". it's all a racket
2
***** the whole world knows it's israel and israelis who are obliterating the lives of palestinians, while israel just denies everything and blames others for their problems...

The road to hell is paved with good intentions; and these fundamentalists, just like the devil himself, deceive the vulnerable to their victims' detriment. These religious nuts should stick to praying for the vulnerable instead of preying on them...
2
a fetus lacks personhood and therefore aborting a fetus is like picking an apple from a tree. there is nothing human about a fetus aside from the fetus being a part of an actual living human being; just like there isn't anything treelike about an apple aside from the fact that the apple grew on the tree. if you separate a fetus from its host, the fetus dies, and that's because the fetus, even though it grows, was never really alive. if you were to punish all apple trees for the sake of apples, all you'd have is a bunch of rotten apples, and shortly thereafter you wouldn't have any apples at all

humanity trumps law. right on. makes me proud to be a canadian

"I would fight to protect the king!" How silly; He might as well be saying, "I will fight to protect my subjugation!"

to claim that this is the result of islam is tantamount to claiming that pedophilia is the result of catholicism. grow the fuck up ppl
2
Justin Anderson it's pretty easy to 'fake' receipts. but in this day and age who needs a receipt when there are cameras everywhere? get the footage from the hotel or anywhere in the locality that you were.
2
Justin Anderson the only thing she trips up on, too, is when she's talking about how she wasn't involved in the rendition because she was doing something else. and then shortly afterwards she changes her pace of speech "Far... Too... Long!" i'm not sure if she did that because she's truly frustrated about the whole thing or because maybe she was trying to indirectly obscure her trip up moments before.
2
why don't these women spend their time doing something useful like campaigning, instead, against oppressive institutions like government itself?????
2
ray02946 damn, so maybe it isn't class-ism. maybe it's just driven entirely by commerce
2

as demonstrated in the following report that was published at least 7 years ago by a dr. poland, the failure rate of the MMR vaccine is 2-10%, which means it is virtually impossible to reach herd immunity based on that fact alone. hence there has been minor outbreaks of measles for decades, even in countries with developed medical infrastructure. however, nobody wants to talk about this, and instead they choose to blame everybody who chooses not vaccinate. http://www.edwardjennersociety.org/wp-content/uploads/The-re-emergence-of-measles1.pdf
