  1. although particular circumstances might be off-putting to some of us, the whole "underage" part is so bloody arbitrary. think of it this way: if you're 17-years-and-364-days old it's illegal (i'm not sure if it actually is illegal in japan? was this clarified?) but the following day it's not, the very next day it becomes legal; 11:59 it's illegal, 12:00 it's not... pretty absurd if you think about it. nonetheless, if both parties consent what's the problem? and why is it that uninvolved parties assume it's any of their business and treat it as if it is their business?
