Brandon Ramsay that's a stretch of the imagination. sure, racism might have led to an outcome whereby in such areas the deprived are of particular ethnicities, but to pretend that business (or big business) exploits these specific areas because of their ethnic makeup is absurd. "the area is predominately hispanic." "okay, perfect, then let's stick an oil well there!"

  10. Fragenzeichenplatte depends how you define class-ism i guess. it's not like the two are mutually exclusive nonetheless.

  11. Fragenzeichenplatte if classism is defined as one class imposing their will upon or effecting another class, it wouldn't necessarily be considered classism in this case. however, if classism is defined as one class with more social mobility and or power, then it might be considered classism.

Ashley Ector a lot of people are ignorant by choice, unfortunately. yeah, but i was talking specifically about the oil fields. if this is happening in nicer communities such as OC and beverly hills, as somebody else has stated, this has very little if anything at all to do with racism or classism.
