Juxozo yeah for nothing. They make visible smoke and everyone freaks the hell out. Meanwhile particulate matter from diesel is less harmful than gasoline emissions.

Gabriel Barros like gold, chlorine and water are used to extract and purify the lithium while it’s still in the ground. With gold they use chlorine and cyanide, but they do it in a tank, rather than in the ground of the quarries. That’s a moral wrong as far as I’m concerned. It’s like fracking but it’s actually bad.

John Geier exactly. Honestly diesel is polluting the environment less right now. Those engines are getting so damn efficient. My dads VW diesel Passat from a few years back mad 10MPG more than the EPA rated it. It got 50MPG. NUTS.

Peter Bestajovsky buddy not a single truck on the road today is forced induction. At that displacement, they could be making heaps more power at much less of a size, or at least burn more efficiently. There’s plenty of room for improvement.

Peter Bestajovsky hey buddy you forget how electric engines get power. BATTERIES. Batteries are the most efficient way to store energy, but that’s not impressive considering it’s not even 50%. They store CREATED energy. They don’t make it. Electric motors are more effective than batteries. That’s why diesel hybrids are better than electrics. Electric isn’t the future until it’s actually useful.

Peter Bestajovsky oh my freaking god. Forced induction is compressing air to make an engine more powerful with less fuel consumption and a smaller size. That means that an engine that’s 3 liters can make the same power as a 6 liter and be 3 times as fuel efficient. It’s not about durability. And regarding hybrids, they don’t need lithium batteries that degrade so quickly. They can use regular car batteries that last up to 6 or 7 years.

Abel Carden diesel is even better, but hydrogen is the absolute best. Biofuels are cool until you realize you could have an interchangeable gas tank the size of a fire extinguisher. BMW made a hydrogen powered i8 prototype, manages 350hp and 35-40 mpg. That’s better than any gas or diesel car on the planet.
