  4. Trenton Bassett the torque output of electric engines isn’t a lot greater than gas vehicles, and it’s less than diesel. The difference is that Diesel engines produce their highest torque output at a higher RPM than electric, meaning that electric cars can stop the engine from reaching its necessary rpm. The fact that they chose a gas truck over a diesel truck just shows dishonesty.

  17. Daniel Santos yes, you are going against gravity, but gravity is pushing your rear of the vehicle down further, creating more friction and grip. The rear of the down facing car is being pushed in the air, and since it’s only rear wheel drive, it has almost no grip. You can see the tires spinning in the video, not because it’s truly being dragged, but rather because it’s losing grip. The Tesla is far more expensive anyway, so it’s kinda unfair from the beginning, even if they were on flat ground.

  24. tristanmeadows hell no. The numbers just don’t match dude. An F150 diesel with an actual towing package for 39k would have more hpower and torque and better tires and wheels, there’s no competition when you compare apples with apples. Electric =\= magic.
