  1. If caste system is what is holding back India, how come we were the richest in the world 300 years ago? What exactly is the problem with caste system? Its just sub sect in hindus just like there are sub sects in islam and Christianity. Strangely nobody comments about the sub sects of other religions. The problem is discrimination, which was too prominent in this caste based society during a certain period of time. This problem constitution of India has solved. Whoever treats another human badly based on caste are severely punished. No human being is low or high by birth. Btw, archarya chanakya was never a brahmin by birth.
