  2. No offense, but after Afghanistan no country should trust US. If a base is given in Assam, US will end up bombing India. One great US politician said, "US has no permanent friends or permanent enemies, it's only permanent interests". There is also a saying, "Being US enemy is dangerous, being US friend is fatal" . Afghan citizens who worked for US army can vouch for the second saying.
