@SolomonSunder : citizenship is for her not you. From your comment it looks like she was born and raised in an European country by an European mom. Once she is 18 , she is an individual with her thoughts and personality. Why would such a person need Indian citizenship? If she really love India or wants to live and work here, she can relinquish her citizenship and can take Indian citizenship. Citizenship is not some pamphlet to be distributed just like that, especially when we have history of colonialism.

@SolomonSunder : Indian nationals raised abroad are very different from children born abroad with one foreign mom/dad. This is not some kind of hatred, I just fail to understand the connection they will have for India. I don't know the law. I just don't want any Indian citizens holding citizenship of another country too. This will be easier to cheat and loot in India and escape.

@SolomonSunder : that's exactly what caused colonization. Fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me. Speaking a language is very different from giving a right to vote to people who don't live here, and make decisions for us. OCI card is enough for such people
