My introduction to the sport was a televised match back in 1978 berween Muhammed Ali and Leon Spinx when Ali became the first 3-time Heavyweight Champion. Since then, I followed the sport and being from Fairbirn, Ohio, I witnessed my first match in person with my father when we had the privilege of seeing our favorite fighter and hero, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini knock out former champion Ernesto Espana in the 6th round at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren Ohio, just 12 miles from Mancini's hometown of Youngstown. What a thrill it was for this 9 year old. I've always said that Joe Calzaghe is just a bigger version of Ray. What heart, stamina, and incredible hand speed. There are no weaknesses. Calzaghe's record holds more credibility than that of Mayweather's just on the merit of competition alone. I consider Joe Calzaghe to be boxings true G.O.A.T. 🥊🏆🏅🏆🥇
