My 96 yeaar old grandmother recently said at Thanksgiving, during a gender identity debate between my 73 year old dad and some aunts, uncles, and a cousin... "Well, son... we live in strange times. @21:05 I'm a 52 year old who grew a huge boxing fan since the third grade, and I have many great fighters in my top favorites list. Mr. Frank Bruno is one such brawler. Not only did I admire his skills in boxing, but his ringside commentary was spot on as well. The best part about it was that I always got a kick outta his voice. He could've been the bass singer in the temptations! 😂 Listening to Bruno commentating a fight was like playing vinyl 45s on a record player that was switched to the low setting. 🤣

You're absolutely correct about AJs left hand being down, but I also noticed the similarities to his loss against Andy Ruiz. He's not the busier puncher and he's consistently moving backwards on his heels. The Dubois fight was like that from the opening bell and that's no way to assert yourself. Starting out in a defensive posture throws out all the wrong signals to an opposing fighter out for blood. I was hoping to see a toe to toe matchup instead of a toe to heel. AJ better go back to the drawing board if he wants to wear some hardware around his waist again.

@dawoool That's the most satisfying fight I've witnessed in the 45 years since I watched my first boxing match as a 6 year old kid. AB coming into the arena like he's the rapper Juvenile and leaving like arena like Emanuel Lewis as Webster who just received a spanking for refusing to eat his vegetables 😂

In the second bout of this video, Courtney Blocker telegraphed that overhand right from Kansas to Texas, but Dominic Goode couldn't get out of the way while trying to throw that sweeping uppercut because his middle name is Notso. I hope that Dominic Notso Goode found a more fitting profession like a valet or a waiter or something.

I've been a fan of watching boxing matches since I saw my first fight as a 5 year old kid back in Feb of 1978 when I saw a 24 year old Leon "Neon" Spinx beat the 36 year old WBC Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Ali in a 15 round split decision. After that I followed the fighting Spinx family very closely. Ali would avenge that loss in a rematch later that year just a couple of months after Larry Holmes beat Ken Norton as a 12 year old kid. I saw Leon's little brother, Michael, pull off a huge upset against my dad's favorite fighter, the Easton Assassin, Larry Holmes, who, at 48-0, and Heavyweight Champion for 7 straight years, was attempting to tie Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0 as the greatest Heavyweight record ever. It wasn't until I waa 15 years old in 1988 that I witnessed for the first time ever a bout that featured two undefeated Heavyweight boxers and one of them at a perfect record of 31-0 was shaking in his boots and that was the Champ, Micheal Spinx. It was the first time that I had seen a fighter of his caliber so obviously intimidated. It was all over his face and the fear radiated in his eyes when he faced the devastating combination of destructive power and unbelievable speed of one Mike Tyson, who at this point in time was my favorite fighter. 91 seconds into the first round and the rest is history.

Darchinyan moving firward trying to counter with a combo ended up walking right into Donaire's overhand left. That made it a much more powerful punch than moving back defensively and still getting tagged. Ouch.
