  3. what about all those bases that the 8th U.S.A.A.F used to use ( a B 17 needed HOW LONG a runway to take off ? ) , or are they all used to store cars ?

  4. Gatwick was ready for another runway , and is better suited for another runway - something smells fishier than Billingsgate ( London fish market ), why not try to duplicate the Japanese " megafloat" airport in the Thames estuary

  5.  @jgrtrx  - EAST of London on the Thames estuary .I know I lived ( near ) there for more than 20 years - there was a plan to build an airport on the Maplin sands , but that was shelved
