You can at least ease your conscience about how much petrochemical waste you are producing , by responsible recycling of petrochemical containers of everyday products - and taxing the use of disposable produce bags in Supermarkets that one CHOOSES to purchase at the checkout - this is why the world famous IKEA blue bag goes with me whenever I go shopping - one small step in the right direction , is better than several in the wrong direction . At home , we have two bins - one for paper waste ,and one for petrochemical container waste , which is then taken to a municipal bin at the end of the street , the contents of which are collected twice a week and taken to the proper facility for processing
