As far as I am aware , the Ramat David air base in Northern Israel was named after David Lloyd George a British statesman and Liberal Party politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922 . Even though the British have long pulled out of what is now the modern state of Israel , the base name has not changed - so there is STILL a bit of Britain remaining in the Holy land , along with the Wingate Institute (in Israel ) named after Major General Orde Charles Wingate of Chindit fame
