  1. why should the British and Americans be anything BUT cautious , their homelands hadn't been invaded by the Nazis ( except in the case of the (British ) Channel islands ) , it was the Russians who were rightly hell-bent on revenge - remember, several German units PREFFERED to surrender to the British or Americans for good reason
