There was also no word "American" until about 250 years ago. What's your point? 🤣

Not all Taiwanese are Chinese ethnicity. The REAL TAIWANESE are the aboriginals who were here first.

@xiaochaoo Taiwanese by nationality. There, fixed your comment

@xiaochaoo Actually I'm an American living in Taiwan. Taiwan is fully independent. No external country has any control over it. Taiwan has its own passport, citizenship, military, president, currency, etc etc etc. It is completely independent. You might need to check the definition of independent in your dictionary. Taiwan is also a sovereign nation. You can look that one up too 😉

@xiaochaoo Nice try. Chinese citizens were banned from entering many countries due to COVID. But you know who still could? Want to guess? Yup, Taiwanese were still allowed in. They can also travel to countries that do not allow Chinese to enter, or need additional visas for. They are citizens of a different country. It is not made up. It is internationally recognized.

@xiaochaoo I live in Taiwan. I see it everyday. That 96% have little to zero taiwanese blood. They are Chinese, some have Dutch and Japanese mix though

@imjanng Indigenous. DNA shouldn't be confusing, it's science. Elementary science at that.

@xiaochaoo It's pretty simple my man, countries recognize Chinese people and Taiwanese people separately. Making Taiwanese independent internationally. You're only logic was that tie when he's made up their identity and others didn't recognize it, but this is completely delusional.
2
@imjanng What? I'm extremely relevant. Taiwan is mostly made up of Chinese immigrants. But now immigrants from all over are coming in! Taiwan is becoming diverse. I'm helping that 😁 I'm breeding with the locals

@picnicgathering1446 I would argue they are not changing their identity from Chinese to Taiwanese. I live in Taiwan. People born here grew up being told they were Taiwanese. But they don't have a clue that there were people already living here. Hell, they think tiramisu is Taiwanese. They don't have the best world view...
2
@886-USSEA True but you still come from a family of immigrants. Taiwanese blood are aboriginals. If you take a DNA test it's only Chinese not Taiwanese

Why losers?

The Chinese immigrants are not real Taiwanese!
1
@JackC-e6i Sure, but it's important to recognize who's land they took. Making a title saying who is taiwanese yet not once mentioning the actual indigenous taiwanese is disingenuous
1
@JackC-e6i Was your comment supposed to make sense?
1
@JackC-e6i Also I'm an American living in Taiwan. I have both perspectives 🙂
