  1. Yeah, yeah. We Russians are poor and live in a dictatorship. Now, go ahead and tell me, lady, how Zelensky's regime is a democracy—make me laugh again! The reason why we Russians are a 'dictatorship' and not a 'democracy' has nothing to do with the things she brought up here—the most laughable of which, of course, are reasons like severe weather and poverty. If those were the true reasons, Russian people would have stopped existing long time ago then. The core reasons are the following two: 1) Deep in our subconscious, we value non-materialistic things over material ones. Therefore, nothing that the 'successful democracies' of the West have serves as a yardstick for us—we are fully aware that life is short and that all material things are temporary and fleeting. That is not to say, of course, that we are never lured by the riches of the West. But whenever we are, we end up in disaster. One example was the terrible state we were in during the '90s after becoming too enamored with the hypocritical West and its, as we discovered in 1999, hypocritical values. 2) We have a strong sense of our Motherland—our home, the place where we were born and raised, no matter its condition. Therefore, whenever outsiders come to 'teach us' how 'terrible our government is' and how we 'need to get rid of it,' we take it as a personal insult. Our response is always: 'It's none of your business—go take care of your own home!' Then, inevitably, we side with our own government and kick such 'teachers' out of our land. That’s how it has been for ages. Napoleon and Hitler learned this lesson the hard way. NATO is currently learning it in Ukraine, and such pathetic 'experts on Russia' like this lady with all their lies won’t be able to change that at all.
