  3. Inequality is such an idiotic term, what we’re actually talking about here is wealth disparity, specifically between the middle class and top 1%. There’s never been wealth equality and never will be, so why use this term which has just become a propaganda talking point for the far left who use it to try and convince people that their version of inequality is somehow equality. Wealth disparity, middle-top wealth gap, pick a term but one that actually makes sense. You can’t talk about solutions if you can’t even be honest about the nature of the problem. The problem isn’t that everyone doesn’t have equal wealth, that’s just a socialist/managerialist bludgeon. The issue is rampant corruption has allowed the rich to hijack every aspect of government and turn it into a siphon for taking everything the middle class has under the lie of taxes, social welfare and humanitarian programs, fighting climate change, justifying endless wars, and whatever else they come up with.

  8.  @jphw854 This whole “tax the rich” thing isn’t a plan. If the government is owned by the rich, how would giving the government more income fix anything? Unless you’re talking about taking all the money from everyone deemed “rich” then creating a new rich class that you pretend isn’t rich and having them rule over you, AKA every Marxist regime ever. So fine, raise taxes on the rich. Then what? The super corrupt government will magically become less corrupt when it has more money? Lol

  9. Prices won’t fall right after interest rates do as buying demand is lent up. It’s going to take years after rates fall substantially before prices come down and they won’t come down that much. The fat to be cut will be the interest rates and the price gouging by sellers, a lot of the price increase is long term dude to asset inflation. The only solution to that is population decline and countries poised to benefit from fewer people competing for dwindling resources are mostly destroying this opportunity by importing economic opportunist migrants from countries that still have insane birth rates or are massively overpopulated from decades of past insane birth rates.

  10.  @timothyandrewnielsen  Owning gov bonds isn’t being a landlord or running a business. Any business requires ongoing activity from the owner, even if they hire someone to handle most things you still have to make sure they’re doing what they’re supposed to.
