Their population is lower than what they state but your methodology has a lot of flaws. You’re assuming the figures you used to calculate the population are accurate when there’s no reason to believe this is the case given the CCP lies about all statistics, especially if they’re not fitting their narratives and agenda. There’s no way to know the actual fertility rate, death rate, infant mortality rate. And fertility rate doesn’t incorporate infant mortality. Various indirect methods of population estimates are very vague and have a wide margin of error.

@Polleej She didn’t use her noggin very well. There’s no way to verify the accuracy of any of the stats she used so plugging them into a calculation is garbage in, garbage out. It’s doubtful the CCP even knows the true figures to within 10% given how all these stats rely on local and provincial governments all being accurate, in a massively corrupt system where reporting bad news gets you punished

The low birthdate and lack of women is fairly recent. The lack of women is nearly a moot point due to the low marriage rate and so many “leftover women” failing to find husbands due to high demands. Many Chinese men have gone to south east Asia to buy brides. Many then pimp them out, an unfortunate and increasingly common occurrence especially in Laos

@Sue-t3h Water purification vending machines, in-home water purification systems, and large bottled water delivery services a very common in Asia. Buying 1-5 liter bottles of water is expensive and a hassle. It’s fine if you’re a tourist but long term it’s a waste. Although most of those vending machines don’t get their filters replaced when they should and are dirty.

@sleepinglaffey3886 Why? An LLM is not what should be used for this kind of application. You don’t need a model at all, just get the data and do simple math with it. Also, you have no way to verify any of these stats to begin with. If the CCP is lying about their population and they admit they lie about their economic data, why assume their fertility rate or anything else is accurate.
