Visually it captured a real world looking neighborhood and not some over saturated, squeaky clean cartoon world like it does now. Elmo transformed it into a low-IQ junk food entertainment that teaches nothing of value and is all about Elmo. It should have been renamed The Elmo Show. It exists now only to sell Chinese sweatshop toys and push “the message” on kids while keeping them dumb.

It’s not a new trend and it’s not that everyone prefers to watch a 30-60 minute video rather than skimming an article for 5 minutes, a lot don’t.
