@sarahwaters10sw True but not relevant. Just because most religions involve worshiping and showing respect to a priest caste doesn’t make those religions equally bad. Buddhists pray to god and show respect to statues of Buddha and to monks, but they’re not out waging wars or taking slaves in the name of their religion, just the opposite.

Why not, they were the first to institutionalize slavery and the last to, on paper, make it illegal while still mostly tolerating it in practice, to this very day.

@daryldaniels4860 Black African countries were the last to abolish outright slavery, although many still allow it by not enforcing their own laws. Arab countries as well as many African and Asian ones still allow slavery by marriage. Not outright go to a market and buy a human but still slavery.
