And the church very much was wholy influenced by exactly that in more ways than one and very familiar with the philosophers who thought as much... No, the idea that the church taught a flat earth was started in the 19th century by John William Draper and Andrew Dickson White, because they were exactly like you. And believed the church was inherently against progress and holding back mankind. It's not based in reality, just your hypocritical beliefs and ignorance. Ironically.
