  1. A river or, flash flood path for that matter, has an obvious route where it will stream through. Never have your cattle on that place and bever build there, even not when it has been dry for centuries. Because even 8 centuries for mother nature is about 20 seconds ago for human live. When you are a local, you know when the melting season start and the rain season etc, so get your butt out of there. There is no god who will protect you, only your brain and sober thinking. Why does it take the Dutch to understand this? We dont have mountains and a snowy winter is a collectors item.
