  2. The origins of the AK-47 is not shrouded in secrets. Google STG-44/ MP-44 en you see where it comes from. The Germans used the STG-44 a lot at the eastern front. So there the Russians found it. The Sturmgewehr 1944 was the most superior hand weapon of its era, world wide. But the by far better German original was expansive. The Russians found a solution to that without losing it reliability and accuracy. Still the STG was better.
