Today's China is nothing but Chinese version of Russian USSR. The Chinese communists occupied Turkistan, large parts of Mongolia and Tibet nations and people who have little to nothing in common with the Han Chinese of real China which is the eastern coastal region of today's China. This is the reason why China has a much larger internal security force than the Chinese army to maintain internal stability. Immediately after the communists took over power in China they started instigating insurgencies in foreign countries with large population of people of Chinese origin. This is the genesis of communist insurgency in Malaysia where almost all these so called communists were people of Chinese origin. The insurgency in Malaysia stopped only with the exit of the British from Malaysia and the Malayan government sending a strong message to both China and people of Chinese origin in Malaysia. India's North East also has large population of Chinese and Burmese origin people who have never accepted themselves as Indians. People from China and Burma settled in these parts of India after they were invaded by the Tai Chinese in 1250 followed by the Burmese invasion and occupation from circa 1400 CE to 1832 when East India Company invaded Burma and returned these places to india but with large Chinese and Burmese origin people. After 1949 when the communists came to power in China they instigated insurgencies in India's North East through these Chinese and Burmese origin people who never felt at home in India. India in response to Chinese supported insurgencies, joined CIA in fomenting insurgencies in Tibet. In response to this, China invaded India in 1962, to "teach India a lesson". This is the reason why after a very short conflict, China unilaterally declared ceasefire and withdrew from much of the areas it had occupied. This Chinese invasion and victory in 1962 left a deep emotional scar in the Indian psyche which created a unnatural phobia towards China. This defeat in 1962 also led to the end of Indian support to insurgencies in Tibet while China has continued to support insurgencies in India's North East to this day. This part of history, you will not find in any history book.
