  2. India i .e. Bharat was always supposed to have two languages and not three languages. Three languages formula was meant for a duration of 15 years after which Hindi would replace English as the official and link language of India. After 15 years, non Hindi states opposed Hindi and wanted English to remain as the link and official language of India. The Congress government instead of replacing English with Hindi , continued with 3 languages formula indefinitely. When one language gains supremacy over other languages, this leads to cultural colonization and subjugation of others. To remedy this situation, India needs to give same status to 22 recognized languages as Hindi and English across India. Hindi will remain as the link language for states where Hindi is spoken , and for pan India, English will be the official and link language.
