  1. The army is not a MNREGA scheme. Agnipath is an excellent scheme where the recruits need to show their mettle during the 4 years of their tenure. If they excel, they will be absorbed else they need to find alternate careers.

  2. If police, BSF, SSB, ITBP etc guard the border then what is the job of the army? It is the job of the army and ministry of defense to guard the border and not the job of home ministry and state police. This is simply a massive duplication of cost and effort. The BSF, ITBP, SSB need to be merged with the army and 2 years compulsory military service needs to be introduced to citizens of border states. These people during their 2 years service need to be deployed in the border regions.
