There was never any country called India prior to arrival of masala merchants from Thames calling themselves East India Company after a fictitious country in Greek mythology. In other words India got its name from a foreign company like Unilever or Pepsi. Just imagine a country named Pepsi? Lol! This charade has continued as long as it could. India was supposed to be governed as a federal union of autonomous states. This is what 1946 cabinet mission plan was all about opposition to which by business houses profiteering under the British led to the partition of India and not Hindu Muslim divide as we have been led to believe.
