@D.K. what is the competitive advantage of UP over other states for it to become a 1 trillion dollar economy? Can UP government provide education in English which is a must for higher education and commerce? The names you have given are all investment due to political pressure very similar to what happened in Gurgaon owned by Nehru Gandhi parivar through DLF.

@skp9550 those days of factories employing thousand of unskilled or semi skilled workers is over. Today's factories are highly automated which need few but skilled workers to work on those machines. Here education will play a big role.

@KejriwalBhakt AK203 is for government and not commercial use. Same case with Brahmos. These are political investments devoid of logic as majority of Brahmos components are being manufactured down south or Maharashtra. Carting them all the way to UP or from UP to south needlessly increases the cost. UP like Bihar lacks the environment for investment. Not only law and order, but talent, raw materials, power, infrastructure, coastline etc are all lacking in UP for it to become a manufacturing hub. For political reasons it'll get investments from government and companies close to the government not serious investors. If there's change of government they'll pack off from UP unlike Karnataka, Tamil Nadu or Maharashtra which get investments due to their fundamental strengths.
