  1. Democracy is dying not only because of Modi but because the opposition is refusing to play its role. In a press conference, Rahul Gandhi was blaming others for not playing the role of the opposition. Irrelevance of Congress due to their obsession with the unelectable Nehru Gandhis has led to a situation where the opposition has completely disappeared from the ground. It is the job of the opposition to ensure that the election commission is independent and elections are conducted through a system which is completely transparent and foolproof. How can democracy survive where the election commission rigs elections through an electoral process which no one can understand and thereby can be rigged easily without the knowledge of anyone?
