  1. Each state should have only one seat in the parliament, particularly in a diverse subcontinent like India. Otherwise, this will lead to monopoly over the government by some ethnic, religious, linguistic groups to the detriment of others. This is nothing but another form of colonization. It is high time a subcontinent like India is governed as a confederation of autonomous states as was envisaged in the 1946 cabinet mission plan, opposition to which led to the partition of India.
