  1. Tanks were created to overcome the hurdles in trench warfare. The days of wars being fought by two land armies is over. No amount of protection could protect the over protected Israeli Merkava. There's very little protection against loitering munitions and drone swarms. Automation and AI are changing radically not only our economy but also our wars. Knee jerk, expensive, quick fix cosmetic solutions isn't going to work.
