  1. We don't need to throw everything away. We need to stop making so much god damn stuff. If the rate of CO2 production due to producing stuff is faster than the rate at which trees can absorb CO2, levels will always increase. We're tearing down more and more forests each day and making more and more stuff. Look at the USA, it's a giant fucking shopping mall yet we bitch about CO2 levels. More trees less stuff.

  2. Each day we're destroying more and more one of the best solutions to the CO2 problem. Tree's absorb CO2 and give off O2 in return, but we're trading all the forests of the world for shopping malls and parking lots.

  4. Yea, his talk was realistic, but you know what the reality is? That too many people are not willing to make a sacrifice. We don't need to wait for a miracle to end the CO2 problem. We can sacrifice our materialistic lifestyles right now and it will be the death of CO2, but are you willing to give up your car? Are you going to stop buying useless junk that you can't afford? If everyone on earth agreed right now to go back to a nomadic lifestyle, our problem will be solved. But fat chance.
