Language is as important to understanding the world as mathematics, probably even of greater importance. To understand the world, we make propositions about it, and those propositions are both formed and limited by the grammar of the language in which we propose. There are people who argue that the UFO phenomenon is plagued by a lack of language, not that they're aliens from another star system, but that it's an Earthly phenomenon for which we have no words to adequately describe it.
