  6. ​ @thanksyoutubefortakingmyhandle  That's the mind-body problem. You might say that consciousness is the most familiar thing in the world, and the most mysterious. When it comes to knowing the world, and understanding the world, consciousness is what we have first. Everything else is secondary. In terms of what's familiar to me, consciousness is number one, but number two in terms of accommodating that into a scientific world-view, not to mention sub-atomic particles and astronomical phenomenon. You have to eradicate the subjective to get the objective. That's why science can't solve it.

  8. Street fight are too unpredictable especially when a knife is involved. It rarely goes down the way Georges demonstrated, that would be ideal for self defense, but anyone that pulls a knife with the intention of using it will strike fast and repeatedly. It would be more like a scene out of a prison movie where one inmate goes after another and stabs him brutally and repeatedly, and chances are it'll catch you off guard. Now, if the instigator is waving a knife in the air, he probably has no intention of using it or is hesitant and you can use Georges recommendation. The other guy is too risky. IMHO

  21. One of the problems in understanding reality is that it can't be downloaded into language. It's something to be experienced. Labels are useful and practical, but are fleeting. Imagine one day waking up in a foreign country whose language you don't understand- as a matter of fact all languages sound like gibberish to you- and someone comes up and tries to communicate with you. You can't understand what he's saying, not only that, you've lost your ability to label things in the world around you, so everything is complete chaos. That's a more accurate representation of reality. That's also what happens when your ego is completely detached from your consciousness.
