The whole drug thing is properly understood as a civil rights issue. People should be able to take whatever drugs they damn well please. In the same way they should be able to express their sexual preferences. In the same way that women should be allowed to vote. In the same way that people of low incidence of light reflectivity should be treated like everybody else. You cannot have a free society and regulate people's drug use.
