  1. It's a simple concept I think. They didn't earn the knowledge of good and evil. They wanted to get the reward without doing all the work. When you receive something that you're not ready for, it's not a good outcome. That's what lottery winners always end up broke. Or like if someone hands you an amazing job with a generous pay, but you have no idea how to do the job, not a good outcome.
