  1. Dear Rachael, you've never dealt with major depression. If you are alone, if you have no friends or family, you are not going to go outside, get fresh air, take showers, eat or sleep regularly. Even if you have healthcare, all you get are cocktails of drugs with doses that are determined by from a series of "On a scale of 1 to 10... How are you feeing" questions. There is no proper mental examination, or medical examination, no actual determination of the depth or "Root" cause of the MDD, you just get drugs shifted up and down like levers on an old stereo equalizer. Once you reach neutral? Their job is done. No therapy, no counselling, no oversight. You become another "Out of sight, Out of mind" random person, until GOD forbid you crack and do something bad.
