Personally I think they should let it all shut down. Then, discover which services actually need funding "RIGHT NOW" pass an individual bill to fund THAT service, and continue to stop all the frivolous spending, cut all the pork, chop all the special incentives, and tell everyone to do their jobs and stop trading votes for earmarks put into a bill that needs to be trimmed as much as possible.

I'd like to see a "reverse" press conference. Where the reporters sit in the gallery, and the person at the podium gets to ask them questions and get loud and aggressive when the reporters poo-poo and try to avoid answering them. It would be "fun" to see the reporter's brain fart and to be challenged to give an answer based on their personal beliefs.

I felt bad for her. Not that she was being asked the questions. But you could see in her eyes and her mannerisms that she "knew" she was supposed to answer one way. But her own integrity would not allow her to lie. I feel bad. She will be thrown under the bus by those whom she believed she supported because she failed to violate her personal integrity and spew lies... Stand Strong... I am sorry that I didn't catch your name... But you did the right thing. Never let them make you question your own integrity. I suspect that your family is quite proud of you and if they are not? You would think that's how it's supposed to work. But somehow the various alphabet agencies came to the conclusion they have authority over the Senate and Congress and can therefore deny access or delay the release by claiming time and staffing issues, the need to review documents for "sensative" information, or whatever stall tactics they can come up with. It's not supposed to be that way, and if our politicians truly supported the people and not special interests, they'd pass solid, clearly defined legislation that would force any and all government agencies to immediately turn over any and all documents to Congress or the Senate.

I still think Hunter is going to drop a nuke on his entire family. When he and his brother were young, their mother gathered up the kids one night (it suspected she was leaving Joe for his womanizing and may have been intoxicated). She got into an accident that ended her life and her little baby girls. The boys suffered serious injuries and spent months in the hospital recovering. This is when Joe married Jill and she took over as "mommy". Hunter's first name? Is his mothers Maiden Name. I think that's why Joe has tortured this kid his entire life. His very name reminds "Pops" of his mother, the baby, and that she was leaving him for being a cheater. I think a lot of this "Laptop" and other stuff has been Hunter doing a long con to get his father destroyed... So it makes sense he wants to let the world know "Publicly". Now THAT would be Entertainment!!

You can always tell a bad person by their eyes. She has "Dead" eyes. Some people call them "Doll Eyes". Our eyes are a direct connection to our souls. When that light goes out and our souls die? I don't think these people should get paid UNTIL they resolve these issues. I also think they should have to pay all the same taxes and social security contributions we do, and that they should get the same health insurance we do, none of this 100% premium tax payer funded stuff! And they DO NOT get all this time off they do! Normal people work just as hard (if not harder) and we don't get months off of work.

Its been nothing but a sideshow since its inception. I am sure the founding fathers were a little more serious, but even then it was more like a gentlemen's club were the men got together to drink whiskey and smoke cigars and talk about stuff. I personally think they should put the bills together, and then present them to the people to vote on like those Call In shows did. One vote from each person eligible. We are assigned social security numbers pretty much the day we are born. So you dial in, enter your SSN and then vote. If you do and the system says you already did? You type 9 for an agent who will investigate the origin of the first vote. If it came from an untraceable number, or some place other than where you live? It's logged and invalidated so you can cast your vote. Where there is a will, there is a way, and I am tired of these tech companies blowing smoke up our areses with this "We can track where calls come from" BS. Two different devices have to identify themselves in order to make a connection. It's not brain surgery, it's them profiting off the scammers call centers

The only way we are ever going to see whose names are on those flight logs is if someone with access to them leaks them to someone out here who will publish them for the public to see. All our politicians are doing is BS'ing and stonewalling the American people on one subject after another. We know that no Clinton is going to be charged and imprisoned. Fair enough, but if they do not hound both sides equally, they then become "partisan" mouthpieces for one side only. which calls into question their motivation. The "press" is not supposed to have an opinion one way or the other. Nor are they supposed to take sides. They are to go to all parties and ask them all the hard questions. Not lean in one direction because their boss said to, because the owner threatened their jobs if they did not.

So... The tactic is to schedule hearings on the same day that there will be a "vote" to have a reason to stop people from answering questions... I would pose a question to the Chairman. Why did you set up this important meeting on the same day that there was a vote? Also, and this is a personal pet peeve of my own, when you are asked a question that clearly requires either a "Yes" or "No"... And you proceed to bla bla bla bla bla, you are not answering the question, you are attempting to deflect and misdirect.

I spent 5 years in the Air Force back in the late 80s, THAT is another operation which needs an independant, public audit. Most americans have heard stories about expensive tools, that have been joked about in movies, but these are actually true things. The military puts out notices, for companies to bid on, for just about anything they need in bulk. The companies bid and produce "exactly" what the notice wanted based on the included specs. One example was 10 thousand high power stainless steel microwave ovens, to be used for quick heating, simple use, that had 10 presets from 10 sec. to 2 min. (no timer). They were made, and put into a warehouse, and then as needed thy would be requested and paid for (again) from funds allocated to that base, org, sq, etc. It wasn't discovered till long after? That most of them didn't work, the company had gotten paid, and there was no recourse. All that money wasted.

I also think that it should be a law that they CANNOT sign any piece of legislation until THEY PERSONALLY have read every word, cover to cover, and that each piece of legislation can only be about ONE ITEM, and cannot be longer than one thousand words. It should also be that they need to have sufficient time to read, review, and research the bills. At least 72 hours for one thousand words. It's ridiculous that these sixteen thousand page (pages! not words) massive bills get printed the night before and then these people don't even read them and just sign them!

Ithink we need another civilian uprising, and this time "We the People" get it better than we did the last time. They work for us, not themselves. We get to set the terms of their employment, their pay and benefits, what we expect from them, no lobbyists or special benefits. They also do NOT get to invest in anything while they are in office, nor do their immediate families. And they should face immediate investigation if all of a sudden "Auntie" has a stock portfolio that magically begins growing larger. What's that?!? You three year old grandson became a millionaire overnight? Straight to prison if it turns out there was anything you were even remotely involved with.
